Bought a used 2010 Can Am Spyder the beginning of June. It comes with a 30 day warranty. I brought the bike back within that 30 days because the breaks were squealing. According to them it was because of oxidation on the break pads. Squealing would stop if it were oxidation. I took the bike to a different shop, Cycla Pros, as it is now out of warranty and $540 later it's because the rear caliper was seized. I truly believe they never even looked at my breaks at Bobs. Extremely disappointed that they couldn't be bothered to even look because it wasn't putting any more money in their pocketsBusiness response

To whom it may concern,
This is *********************** President of ***'s Ski-Doo and ************* I received a written letter in the mail today and I am responding via the email address given on the letter dated August 10th, 2024.
In regards to the above referenced complaint, I have also responded to her ****** review. Here is what I wrote:
"*****, I am sorry you had an issue with your 2010 Spyder RT. If you had called us, even after the warranty was up, we would have re-checked everything and addressed any of your concerns. This is the first I am hearing of it. However, in reviewing the repair order from when you came in here with the bike, we adjusted your brake pedal on your 2010 Spyder as you requested, and ran tests on the brakes to ensure proper brake pedal bias at that time. There was no way the caliper was frozen at that time. There was some oxidation on the brake pads which was typical on some of the older style braking systems for a 2010 Spyder if it is driven at slower speeds. A few hard stops made the squeals go away when it was here. One scenario may be that there was a mis-diagnosis at the other shop but I don't have enough info to determine if that is the case. The new brake pads and caliper will make the squeal go away for a while until the pads glaze again. Again I was not aware you were still having an issue, so please call and ask for me in the future if you have any issue with this bike. Regards, **********"
In regards to the customer's reimbursement request, if she could bring us the old brake caliper so we can inspect it and verify her and the other repair shops claim, I would be happy to try and resolve her concerns. The complaint and ****** review was the first I had heard of any additional issues with the customer's bike. She did not call and say she was still having an issue, she did not contact us to tell us about this complaint she had. If she had contacted us after she had it in here and told us the issue still persisted we would have gladly taken another look. As a small business owner, I am usually always around, on site, and available for customers to talk to if they have any questions or concerns.
Please contact me if you have any other questions or concerns or need anything else from me.
Regards
