Scam, refusing to get me drive time unless I pay for the test first, I want to get my automatic restriction since I feel more safe driving an automatic than a manual, I feel like the money that is paid for the school is wasted.

      Business response

      02/14/2024

I spoke with **** today and heard his concerns about scheduling a test and frustrations about testing on an automatic. After listening to his situation I realized that he is simply misinformed. I took the time to explain that in order for him to continue training and using school resources to practice, he must have a test date on file. It was made clear that as long as he has a test scheduled, he will be allowed to continue to work toward his CDL at the school with no additional charges. **** understood and accepted my suggestion that after he pays for the test, we will assign him a test date and draft an action plan to help him practice until he is licensed.

We also discussed his interest in taking the test on an automatic. I explained that since he has not attempted any road tests, I would prefer he takes the time before his test to practice, and to allow us time to get him ready to pass on a manual transmission. After I explained that our curriculum is designed for students to earn a CDL without restrictions, he acknowledged that at this stage, there is no need to settle for less than what he paid for.

We agreed on the following next steps:
We will schedule a test date with enough practice time to prepare
**** will come to the school this week to pay for his road trip
**** will work with the Safety and Training Director this week to draft an action plan with scheduled practice and road time
**** will attempt the road test on a manual transmission
We will decide if future exams in an automatic are appropriate depending on Matts tests results.

**** was content with our discussion and has my personal cell phone number at his disposal should he have any future concerns.

Started CDL program March 2018. NETTS reported that I was getting the same loan as MassHire, which was not true. The program is incompetent and I was unable to complete it. I currently have a loan for 10K from NETTS. Unfortunately, I was incarcerated and was unable to file a complaint. The instructors were not helpful, I was not instructed and they promised it was hands-on, but that was not the case.

      Business response

To Whom It May ***************** spoke briefly to ******************** on December 7th and listened to his concerns regarding the training he received at NETTTS. While he alleged that our training was not hands on I assured him that the only way to learn how to drive tractor trailers was to practice driving the vehicle. When I asked him if he participated in practicing maneuvers and driving the truck, he acknowledged that he did.

******************** seemed to be very confused about his experience here which was disrupted by his incarceration. I explained that we are happy to help him obtain a CDL license and asked what we could do to accommodate him. He did not provide a clear answer and did not suggest any specific outcome. He was at work and said he would contact me later in the evening. We have not heard back nor has he responded to our calls. We are ready to help ******************** if he is still interested and eligible to hold a CDL license.
