Company has poor customer support/service. No accountability for order mistakes, no urgency for product error resolution.Routinely sends wrong order quantity. Yet, charges full price to consumer, without apology, without correcting the mistake. Emails to support, phone calls to the company, result in voicemails and no response. Instant chat server results in no response. Only company I have ever dealt with, that has no accountability for their errors, yet has a decent sized ********* social media, amazon.com presence/reach. Have an account with company, which bills my credit/debit card (monthly) for recurring orders. Although product is of good quality, company shipping department routinely sends incorrect item size and/or quantity. This has happened to me at least 4 times within last 12 months (dating back to Sep 2021) including larger (unrelated) orders in excess of $200.00.Company very inconsistent on getting orders correct. Company won't respond to emails. Can go weeks without response or acknowledgement. Currently been contacting company for a 9/22/22 "recurring monthly order" in which i'm always scheduled to receive 2.5LBS of sesame seeds product. Received 1.5LBs... in mail on 9/27/22, but my account charged for 2.5LBS. Immediately took photo of product that was received (as proof), and attached with inquiry email to support *************************************** as well as escalating to *********************** ************************************** whom has gotten involved when this happened in the past. No response from him nor support after multiple email attempts as of 10/10/22. Left voicemail as well on Monday morning 10/10/22 and instant chat inquiry 930 am EST (during their business hours), in which they advertise they will respond ASAP. Still no response.Have threatened to contact my bank, if no response/resolution. Still no response from anyone of the above resources with this company, or chat resources, phone voice mails (unable to get live person).Customer response

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint as of 10/21/22 (close to 1 month after initial transaction). I have contacted my bank and opened a dispute as well. They are doing their investigation as of 10/11/22. I have provided my bank the screenshots of emails/website chat sent to Pride of India (between 9/27/22 - 10/10/22).
I have also closed my account with Pride of India, via their website, so that no more orders will automatically come out of my account. Do not want to deal with them anymore.

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business (Pride of India) and have determined that their response does fulfill the original complaint regarding the order I placed more than a month prior. However, this company (Pride of India) needs to be accountable for their poor customer service practices. Their ignoring of emails/phone calls/instant-chats from long time customers. Disrespect of customers with recurring/monthly subscriptions/accounts is unacceptable. Holding on to customer's money, while not delivering on the product (quantity/size) and not caring that they have collected a customer's money, is enough to make their behavior public, so I am glad that I reached out to Better Business Bureau to help intervene. I felt helpless and only after BBB contacted them, did it force them to acknowledge their misdoings.I have cancelled my account with this company (Pride of India) as a result of their lack of respect, accountability and desire to fix their errors in a timely manner. It should not take extreme measures of contacting Better Business Bureau for this company (Pride of India) to finally respond. And for them to issue a replacement (more than 30 days after the original order/complaint) is unacceptable. I am only accepting this because I finally received what I paid for (my original 9/22/22 order). I was finally delivered the correct quantity/size (only) after they (Pride of India) were contacted by Better Business Bureau (BBB).I hope that my complaint remains visible on BBB website, because anyone going through a similar frustration with this company can know that they are not the only customers dealing with this. And the more customers who are willing to do what it takes to make things right, regardless of what channels they have to go through (i.e. BBB, ******************** to prove a point (and hold businesses like Pride of India) accountable, will always be a good thing. Regardless of dollar amount/purchase amount, no amount is too small or too large to have non-cooperative businesses be brought to task/held accountable, and thus required to compensate the customer for what he or she is owed.In terms of my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint #********. I understand that by choosing to accept the business response that my complaint will be closed as resolved.
