I purchased my 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe at Boch Hyundai in Norwood , MA in late March 2021. The listing on the website provided pictures that the car was in great condition, showing ZERO damage hence why we set an appointment for a viewing. ***** our salesman pulled up the car and everything looked fine until we got to the back/bumper of the car. He had told us that the damage happened on the property of the dealership and someone backed into it and they were at fault. The back bumper had two huge cracks and paint from another car and needed replacement. He told us that if we were to purchase the car they would fix it . I proceeded to ask if they would make it look like the damage never happened. I did not want to buy a damaged car and he nodded his head and agreed. There were also chips in the paint on the doors that we asked for them to touch up. We purchased the car and he told us the car would be ready for pickup the following Tuesday and Id be able to drive it off the lot. I show up with my trade in vehicle ready to the do the switch. I gave him my keys and he switched my old license plate onto my new **********************. He gave me the new keys to my new car and I went outside and the car was in the same exact condition that it was in when we viewed it except the chips on the doors had been painted over very sloppy and the paint they used was left in my car and sitting in my cup holder. The bumper had not been touched. I proceeded to find wet paint on my middle console clearly a care free job done. I asked what happened to the damage been fixed and he told me they ordered a part and it was coming in the mail and I would have to come back to have it repaired after he told me it would be all set to pickup. Not once did I receive a call saying the car was not ready for pickup because the damage was not fixed. I should have received a courtesy call. We started discussing the damage again and he told me they would just be replacing just one single piece of the bumper. Not the whole bumper just one part and leave the rest the way it is. A $30 piece replacement for probably over a $2k-3k job. I asked wouldnt the car be less value because its damaged and he tried to convince me the damage was included in the sales price even though he told me he would replace it which is contradicting. In my opinion the whole bumper absolutely needed replacement and I believe that was in the agreement before we purchased the car. ***** proceeded to tell me that was not the agreement . No one would buy a car and be happy with a damaged car. I was so disappointed but he told me that I would be happy after what they would do to fix it and I had high hopes it was true. I set up an appointment a week later to have it fixed. That day I show up theres no organization at all. He had me pull up to service thinking I was going to have it fixed just to come out to tell me he had just ordered the part at that very moment that day and told me I would have to come back again. But when I went to pickup my new car the first time he told me they were waiting for the part in the mail so that was a lie and he was not telling the truth . We set another appointment so I would have to come back a THIRD time. I arrive at the dealership for for the final time and have the damaged fixed. The car looked they barely did anything. They replaced a plastic bracket and thats it. Nothing else done . A huge crack still there and paint from another car still on my bumper . I was so frustrated I took my keys and left . I will never go back to Boch Hyundai and I strongly believe I was ripped off. They sold me a damaged car and pawned it off me and lied to my face that would fix the car.

On the morning of August 31, 2021, I contacted Boch Hyundai dealership in Norwood to inquire about a Santa Fe that was posted on their website. I spoke with *************************, *********** Manager, who informed me that the *** was available. He was fantastic about answering my questions and getting me photos of the vehicle immediately. I expressed my interest in leasing the vehicle and asked him if he could hold the vehicle with a down payment for me. He told me he couldnt because it was the last day of the month. I understood, but I also told him that if there was no chance that I could obtain a lease for this car that I didnt want to drive that distance for nothing because I wasnt interested in any other vehicle. He told me the last thing he wanted to do was to waste my time. I told him I could come to the dealership to work out particulars between 4:30p and 5:00p. ******* said that would be a perfect time for them. I asked him to let me know if something changed before then, so I didnt drive an hour and a half for nothing. He told me, We will be able to work everything out with you today when you arrive, and said to ask for *** or **** when I come in. At 3:50pm I hadnt heard from *******, so I called him to ask whether the vehicle was still available. He said it was. I told him that I was leaving my house in 10 minutes to head to the dealership. He said he looked forward to me seeing the vehicle in person and told me to ask for *******. Thought: Why does he keep changing who I should speak to?When I got to the dealership at 4:40 I was greeted by a salesman. I asked for *******. The young man asked me to have a seat. Then another *********** Manager (whose name escapes me) introduced himself and immediately apologized to me saying that the car I came in to see was sold to someone literally, 30 minutes ago. (That would have been 4:10ish.) He told me that they tried to reach me and left many messages and then back tracked and said they left two messages maybe. When I went to walk away, he asked me if there was anything else I was interested in looking at. I told him no and left. The ride home left me wondering many things. Why were there so many changes to the people I was supposed to be working withwhy was there a showroom full of salespersons standing around chit chatting and no customerswhere was ******* and why didnt he tell mehow could a sale happen so fast and the buyer still not be there? When I arrived home, I checked my voicemail. The only phone number I gave the dealership was my home number so that was my fault. There was one message from ******* at 3:17pm telling me that the car was sold in the showroom. A little conflicting from the other manager which just makes me doubt the integrity of everything. This dealership doesnt seem to be organized or as professional as they first appeared to be. Three hours of my day wasted.I was excited about buying a vehicle from a Boch dealership because the name is a reputable one. I will no longer be purchasing a vehicle from a Boch dealership because this experience has left a very bitter taste in my mouth. This is an experience I wont soon forget.
