This actually pertains to a visit to Store #**** (******, **). Not found as a location on this site, however, is in the district of the nearby restaurants. Visited on 01/19/22 at 1:20 P.M. with the intention of ordering the All-You-Can-Eat Pancake deal advertised in the commercial for $5.99. The waiter informed that he was new & only knew about the pancake deal as long as one purchased one of the breakfast combos starting at $12.79. He was nice but didn't make an effort to check with any other staff member to find out any info about the pancake only promo. Reluctantly ordered the least expensive menu item to get the **** pancakes. Found out there was a huge poster advertising the promotion on the way to the restrooms, but this was after the fact the meal had already been completed. Called the corporate number to let them know about the ***************** said the local franchisee was in charge of handling consumer issues. Someone did call back and left a message, but their return contact number got cut off. Attempted to call the IHOP back but couldn't get in contact with the original person that called. Even tried other locations within the same district & left a message for somebody to call/e-mail back. As of this writing, the DM is never available to answer calls & has made no attempt to reach out to remedy the situation. It has also been reported that customers who visited the Norwood, MA location have had the same problem. Looking to be compensated for this experience as this is basically a bait & switch tactic. A person should not be lured into the restaurant with the intention of spending $6 for a deal to only find out they need to spend more than the double that for additional items they may not desire. It's ludicrous that it has been 4 weeks since the original visit/call without any resolution.
