We had a problem with our dryer not heating up. We had the same problem after we bought it three years ago when it was under warranty. The repairman then said it was a known issue with the machine we bought, a wire comes loose. He removed a panel on the back and it took him 15 minutes to repair.Now, three years later, we had the same issue so called Regal to fix. The repairman plugged the machine back in and it worked. We told him about the previous issue, and he said he would check everything out. Then he started taking the whole machine apart, including removing the whole drum and belt which seemed unnecessary. I thought it sounded different, but he said it was all fine so I thought nothing of it. Four loads and one and a half weeks later, the dryer does not work again, It does not stay running when pushing the start button. We call and explain the situation and the customer service person waived the $99 service fee because they had just been here for the same machine. The same tech came back and checks it out and says the belt is broken. He wanted to charge us $375 to fix it. When we refused and also told him the customer service rep said we didn't have to pay the $99 service fee, he threatened to blacklist us.I feel that he did not replace the drum and belt back in correctly and broke our machine, and then wanted us to pay to fix it. To me, this is poor customer service.
