I chose cobra customs in fall 2022 because I had great experience there years ago. I brought reference images of the two flowers I wanted and asked that the tattoo style be "more delicate and feminine than my other tattoos, a gladiolus and a delphinium, 1 pink, 1 yellow. I talked to the artist about why these specific flower types/ colors & why I wanted the style of it to be a delicate, softer tattoo. The initial sketch outline, while very basic, looked ok. I trusted the artist had listened during initial consultation. Rather than the delicate design, or even the flower types/colors I requested, I left with 2 generic 'flowers', pink & blue only 3 petals each, lines that appear to be missing pieces, as though parts were just left out, big black spikes/thorns all around them for no apparent reason &an angry face thing in the center of one of the "flowers". None of this was ever discussed with me and was a total surprise upon seeing the finished work. No part of the tattoo resembles any of the reference images I provided or what was discussed with the artist beforehand. I reached out, asking if anything could be done to soften the design or do any sort of coverup to fix this mess. They strung me along for months. last I heard she was going to speak with the artists who work in a style more similar to what I requested and get back to me to schedule. I requested a color sketch of what might be done, to avoid making the same mistake that I had made by getting tattooed w/o a concrete drawing of what the artist intended, was told it's impossible for an artist to provide a sketch in advance. Its been a year and a half since the tattoo and I have tried to be patient and understanding. I've reached out to follow up several times since June and nearly a year later I am still waiting for a response. I spent over a $1,000 to get a large very visible tattoo that is the opposite of what I wanted, and thry did absolutely nothing to make it right.
