  On February 7, 2023. I contacted *************************** of T.P Richies Chimney Restoration to have some repair work done on my Chimney. **************** met me at my home wrote up a proposal of the work he would perform and price. At that point I have *************** a deposit via check for $1000.00 dollars. Work was scheduled to begin on February 28th. I have tried contacting *************** numerous times to no avail. After doing more research I found out that *************************** is a known Scam artist and has been banned from doing business in *************.

  Date of Transaction: 14Oct 2022 The amount of money I paid the business: $5,900.00 Business committed to provide repairing my chimney of inside damage due to water, install a gas stove insert and provide a CUSTOM chimney topper.Nature of my dispute: ************************* was a no show & took my money. I have tried several times to get the $ back however he says to contact his attorney who I have attempted to do and he does not respond to my emails.The business of T.P.   I entered into a contract with **************************** (aka ******) of T.P. Richies Chimney on 11/26/21 to perform chimney work at our home. ************** came to our house on 12/15/21 to begin work. They did very little work that day and never came back to complete it. I (and my attorney) attempted to contact ************** on numerous occasions throughout 2022 but his promises to return to finish the job were never kept. The total cost of the job was$1,700. I paid him $850 upfront with an agreement to pay the remainder at completion. My attorney reached out to him multiple but to no avail. It has come to my attention that ************** has been arrested and convicted of fraud and theft in ***** as well as Cape Cod and was banned from doing home repair work in MA. I have contacted 3 other contractors to complete the work he left. All of them stated the work done was poor quality, sloppy and substandard and would need to be fixed at an additional cost. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS LOW CHARACTER CON.

  -Entered contract on May 12, 2022 -We agreed on $23,000 for the full job, I have paid $19,054 so far.-He was supposed to veneer the chimney, rain cap the top of the chimney, fix both interior fireplaces (cleaning, getting them in working condition for the winter, etc) as well as veneer the front steps to my home with stone.-A little more than halfway through the job, he stopped showing up. Have not seen him since.-There are still full pallets of stone in my yard (he ordered way too much), other stone on my lawn, scaffolding still up, trash over the yard, etc.-He used to answer the phone and tell me he would come and then he would not show up. This happened many, many times.-At this point, he just does not respond or show up.-However, I still see his work van driving around town, presumably doing jobs for other people.-Invoice IJN337378

  We signed contract for chimney cleaning and chimney repair and paid deposit of $975. Contract stated work would be completed 10/28/22. Company did not show up and after several calls to them we were told they are backed up and will call in couple days, which they didn't. We left several telephone messages, messages through their website, and sent them a letter demanding our deposit get returned, all have been ignored.

  We contacted and had a contract with ******* from TP Richies Chimney ************************************************ In the beginning he arrived on time for the job and completed the first phase. ******* said he would return to complete the cap and the rest of the work, but has yet to return since 12/8/2020. We have made numerous attempts and have been given numerous excuses that he would return. When we tried to reach out again for the last time, almost 2 years later, he became very rude and disrespectful. He has refused to complete the work or provide a refund. We paid him $1000 in cash and $1500 via check.

  Date of transaction was Feb 15 2021. Checks for $850 and $400 were cashed as an agreement to install a chimney liner and aFrench Drain. None of the work was done, as of July 21 (agreed upon last date) I am seeking a return of funds for work not performed. The cashed checks are available at *******************************************

  I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. he mentioned returning funds earlier, and he did not return them as promised this week-Aug 20 at latest
