I had an oil change and brake pads done on 8/28/23. No other work has been performed on the car since then. I started hearing a subtle thump in my front end, over the course of a few months and several hundred miles it got louder and louder. Once I could afford a repair I brought it to another shop who informed me that he took my lug nuts off with his bare hands. If it wasnt for the locking lug the tire would have fallen off months again considering all the driving Ive done. I have called Speedee and was told that on the receipt it says that they recommend you come back after 150 miles for re-tourqing. Although written on a receipt that was filed away and never looked at again it was never communicated any other way. If not for a locking lug this could have turned into a serious or deadly situation on a highway. The manager I spoke with offered a free oil change and an apology. My oil filter was also loose so I declined the oil change. He did say there is nothing he could do but apologized for poor communication. Although he was very kind about the situation he did not seem to understand the severity of what could have happened. I could not find my receipt but have the credit card bill showing the line item pertaining to the work. It is attached
