    I contacted AW Garage Door Repair because my door wasnt opening and closing correctly. A tech came out on 6/20/23 and said the door was too heavy for the tracks and they needed to be replaced. He fixed the door and suggested an opener which he installed. The charge was $2998 but included a 20 year warranty. I wrote the check payable to Netanal ***** as directed. On 8/25/23, I couldnt open my garage door and my car was stuck inside. 3 or 4 days after I called, they sent a tech who fixed it. He was going to charge me over $1k, but then called the office and was told it was warrantied. He was a subcontractor and not aware the door had been installed only 2 months prior. On 11/15/23 my door wasnt fully closing. After numerous calls to AW, a tech called and said hed be here on 11/19 in the AM. After a couple more calls,the tech finally came at 5 PM. He worked on the door and said the springs were different sizes which caused the problem. He changed the springs and presented me with a bill for $1353.62. I told him the door was under warranty. He said, weve never been here before. I said are you a subcontractor? He insisted I called the wrong company. I called AW, and the dispatcher didnt know anything but hed have a manager call me the next day. The tech said he worked for a company called APlus and insisted that I pay him at least half. I gave him a check for $700 payable to ************** as directed.I called AW back to inform that the tech required I pay him $700 and I wanted to speak to a manager. He promised the mgr would call back the next day. I called several times the following day to no avail. I tried to put a stop payment on the check, but was told it looked like it had been cashed. The manager never called me back

    A Plus/Garage Door experts is a fraudulent business. My wood garage door was broken and falling down so I contacted several Wakefield garage replacement companies. One very nice lady gave me a quote for $2650 covering an insulated door with motor and remotes, but it would take 2-4 weeks for installation. A Plus contacted me while I was waiting for a call back from another business and gave me a verbal quote of $2300 for a cheap door and $2800 for an insulated door with windows. I said we were interested in the later and asked him to send a quote. The quote listed a door with no description for $2500 with $650 in other charges previously undisclosed and a photo of a nice looking door with windows. The total was $500 higher and it didnt come with a motor, but the rep said we could use our current one. We decided to go with them due to the nicer door and the fact that they could install next day. When I came to see how things were going I realized they gave us the wrong, very cheap door that sells for $468 at *********** The installers left and I called, ****, the rep. ** offered a 10% discount to make me happy. We were trying to figure out our options when he showed up at our house after dark while I was nursing my baby to demand I Venmo him the remainder, making me very uncomfortable. The discount was something by now were stuck still with a crappy door and a barely functional motor that needs replacing. On top of that, the door was installed crookedly and Ive been waiting a few weeks for a repair. Wish I had waited for the other company and realized they werent one of the two reputable ones I contacted. Dont know how the hit my contact info, but dont buy a door from phone number ending in ****.
