I retained this lawyer in June for a car accident case. The office has been representing me in my PIP claim with the loss of wages and we have received those. The lawyer Attorney ***************************** was working for this firm and representing me he left the practice out of no where there was no warning! I then got a letter from the law office saying they will no longer be representing me. Now I did nothing wrong I have done everything I supposed to do but now I'm left to the wolves because this lawyer most likely got fired and now is working on his own but he says he is working from his home by himself he doesn't have the man power to work my case! I just had surgery a month and a half ago I'm not working i and now I'm just screwed. This just isn't right the law office should be responsible to finish my case!!Business response

Please accept this as a response to Complaint #******** which was filed on 9/22/2021 by *************************. **************** retained Mazow & McCullough,PC on June 10, 2021 to represent her for alleged injuries relating to a motor vehicle accident which occurred on June 3, 2021. The client signed a contract with our office which set forth, among other things, that the firm may terminate representation of the Client if in the Attorneys opinion there is no resalable likelihood of recovery or no insurance to satisfy the claim. A copy of the contract can be provided upon request. On August 13, 2021, our office received correspondence from GEICO ***************** in which GEICO, for a variety of reasons which GEICO set forth in its letter, denied that it would be making any settlement offers for ****************** claim. On August 24, 2021, our office sent a detailed letter to ****************,explaining that we would not be able to represent her for her case. We included her entire file and advised her to seek a second opinion with another attorney and if she wished to pursue her claim that she do so within three years of the date of her accident. On September 21, 2021, Attorney ***** McCullough called **************** and explained, in detail, that we would not be able to represent her and that she should seek a second opinion on her case. We are terribly sorry that *************** feels that we did not properly handle her case, however, we made a business decision that the case was not viable for our office.
