  We have utilized Vested Academic for tutoring services for our 2 children for over a year in a half. They require you to pay for services upfront, which we have done. In April of this year the tutor whom my children were seeing left the organization with the remaining pre-paid sessions canceled. We have requested an account balance in dollars not remaining hours and have not received an answer to date. We have quantified that we are owed $625. After many attempts by my wife to get an answer, I tried to reach someone by phone almost 10 times and never received a call back. I was concerned that they were holding $625 of unearned services and was hoping they did not go out of business since I never heard back. I decided to go to the office to make sure they were still open. I arrived at the time my children would be getting tutoring services. I asked to speak with the 2 contacts who my wife had previously delt with. An employee of Vested Academics lied to me about ***** ( the owner /our main contact) being present, and then when ***** admitted who he was he preceded to ask me to leave and even threatened to call the police. (which he did and wasted the police officers time and town resources). This seems very unfortunate over what could have been a simple phone conversation. They are holding onto unearned, prepaid money that we would like paid back It is unfortunate that we must waste time and effort to get outside assistance in this matter. As a small business owner myself my reputation is everything to me and unfortunately this business does not care about it customers or reputation.
