Cataldo Ambulance overcharges its services.On January 22 2021, I called 911 and I was seen by a paramedic. It turned out I was fine but, by precaution, I went to the hospital for a checkup.I was driven there by Cataldo Ambulance, which was waiting in front of my house.The drive was 9 miles and I sat in the back of the ambulance with no special requirement other than wearing a regular COVID-19 mask.I was then very surprised to receive a bill of $2800, which was reduced to $1059.28 (amount allowed by insurance). My insurance covered $674.33 and I was asked to pay $394.95.I contested the cost but Cataldo assigned my case to a collection agency, which left me no choice but to pay.This happened more than a year ago but there are many recently reported similar anecdotes (https://www.google.com/search?q=cataldo%20ambulance).There are also complaints about Cataldo Ambulance reported to the Better Business Bureau but every time Cataldos answer is to deny everything.I have mentioned the matter to the **************************

The only confidentiality is how Cataldo conducts its business, taking advantage of its patients and overcharging them. Fortunately more patients will come forward and file complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the **************************
