I purchased a 2018 Mitsubishi outlander sport w an extended warranty. I brought my vehicle in and complained that my transmission was slipping, not working properly on 5 separate occasions. Each time I was told I had a special transmission and It was fine. I have all documents. Finally within a few months my warranty expired and now they say its not their problem. Each time I had any warranty related issues (radio, usb plug or airbag) they said problem wasnt duplicated and as soon as I got into my car .. I had a problem Now it will cost thousands that I dont have because I was lied to and then refused to correct the problem

      Mrs/***************,

Courtesy would love to have been able to repair your transmission for you. Unfortunately it was out by both time and mileage by both: the extended warranty (DLP) (****** Miles or 3Yrs) & by Mitsubishi Manufacturers' warranty (5Yrs or ****** Miles). The Courtesy Team attempted to contact the extended warranty company (DLP) and have them review it for Goodwill. Courtesy does not have the ability to authorize or approve a claim, only to submit on the Customers' behalf. The claim was ultimately declined by the warranty company (Dealer Loyalty Protection). While reviewing your vehicle history, it was noticed that certain maintenance recommendations, which include a transmission service, had been declined in the past. According to your history, it looks like you have a daily, long, distance commute because you are putting around ****** miles a year on the vehicle; the average person does around ****** miles a year. The vehicle should also have been coming in every ***** miles or 6 months, but we have several lapses in your maintenance visits with us. That being said, Courtesy is looking into seeing if any assistance for repair at a discounted rate is available. Our Team at Courtesy is always trying to work with our customers to help as much as we can. If you want to trade out of the car, absolutely, as is your choice. We would love to sell you a new vehicle, as we would all our customers. However, as we stated to you, it is the bank that makes the final decision, but again, we are more than willing to try for our Guests!

Purchased a used vehicle. Engine/radiator issues since the day it was picked up and continued to break down. Finally had another dealership look at the vehicle after it broke down again and the issues were never addressed and/or repaired with shoddy work. Company advertises lifetime engine warranty on used vehicles and now refuses to repair vehicle and trying to sell me a new car

On 12/23/22 *********************************************** purchased a 2015 Jeep Patriot. The vehicle had ****** miles on it. The vehicle was not eligible for our No charge lifetime engine warranty because of the miles. Cars covered with this protection must be less than 10 years old at time of purchase and have less than ****** miles on it. The vehicle was actually ***** miles over the limit. However, ************************ did have some other concerns with the vehicle that we addressed and never charged her in spite of the vehicle having a 30 day **** mile Warranty. We feel we have attempted to help this customer without any doubt.

      Sincerely,

      ************** GM
