I contacted Exterior Construction, Inc (in May) via the owner Anthony Hairston *** *** ********* ** *********** to have my home roof cleaned sometime in June. After asking several times, he put together an estimate that was $200 above what he first quoted me. After speaking with him, he told me the price increase was due to the oil-based solution he would be applying to the roof after the cleaning. Here is the roof cleaning proposal: Entire house. Will remove all algae with brooms from entire house. Install oil-based solution on all shingles surfaces. Install zinc strips on peaks of roof that were discussed. Remove all debris from property. Clean all gutters out. Work will start on June 5, 2023. Work will have a 5 year labor warranty. I notified him that I had a doctor change an operation date to June 5, so we would have to pick another date. He also said he would bring over a can of the oil-based solution so I see exactly was it was composed of. We discussed an environmentally clean solution. I repeatedly called and left messages for him trying to set up another date for the cleaning to take place. He told me that he could swing by my house. He never showed up twice. He is not answering calls to his phone and has not made any attempt to contact me. I have left him numerous messages. What bothers me is that he has a large BBB logo on his truck and on his card. I felt that I could trust this company to complete the work and honor their estimate. I feel like his company does not deserve using a BBB logo since he never completed the work stated, or lived up to his promises.Business response

Dear ***, I'm sorry you think we should come do the work when we NEVER had a contract signed nor was there any promise of us doing the work. We never even agreed what work was going to get done because you kept changing the work order. There was never any money exchanged between us at all, I told you after a few phone conversations that we wouldn't be able to do your repairs, because you were starting to be extremely rude and disrespectful to me. Maybe this negative review is your way of pay back since we decided not to do your work, I have no idea. I honor all signed contracts and that's why we have hundreds of great reviews and have an A+ rating with the BBB. I even honor work on a handshake because I always keep my word. Good luck to you and God bless you I hope you find a contractor that can meet all your needs since we couldn't.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:I was never rude to you. You disappeared after handing me an estimate. You never completed or started the work. I found it very disconcerting that you called me after the complaint was filed and was extremely rude and hostile. I would never recommend your business now.
