This company was hired as a recommendation of another client. To start the project in October 2022, they were rather slow in the project and delayed because workers were goofing around on the job. Later to find out they tipped over a large machine causing a significant delay in work. The parts of the broken machine were left brushed off to the side of my lawn (glass, hydrolic cylinders, lens cover). Moving forward, the straw placed to protect the new seeded lawn was in many areas very thick preventing growth. In the spring of 2023, I requested they overseed as promised. They finally did, but not after a bit of a fight. I later noticed my gate was broken. They attempted to fix, poorly. It was a new fence. It still has bent hardware and missing hardware.Flash forward to summer of 2023, poor grass growth, weeds and crabgrass where they did their work. Now, fall of 2024, many bumpy areas, dead areas with no grass growing. I'm told "it's because you have a dog". Currently, very barren spots and the lawn looks worse than what we were trying to fix. They have been out 2 added times since completion October 2022 in April and July 2023 to poorly attempt repairs of lawn and Gate. I do NOT want them to do any repair. I would like $2900 refunded. That will alot $1000 for their materials (certainly not valued at that but).Business response

KeenKut will not be processing a refund at this time as we did the work we promised to do. We went above and beyond to address any complaints in my opinion. Although, I wasn't sure that our crew had broken the gate, it was repaired by a professional, reputable fence company at KeenKut's expense anyways, and the lawn was overseeded again in the Spring '23 at no additional charge to the customer. This customer didn't want a lawn maintenance program plan as suggested, and he did have a dog at the time that walked all over newly seeded and strawed lawn areas.

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because: The lawn- one dog kept to walking and in the front for more than 2 weeks due to newly redone lawn was maintained. As is still evident, stones in the newly applied soil suggests less than appropriate top soil for new seeding. I had to personally thin and remove a lot of hay due to it being 2 inches thick and clumps in many areas. Some of the "hay" was corn stalks. The gate, was brand new and in perfect working condition. It is still with missing hardware and bent brackets. I have maintained the broken materials from the machine that tipped over by one of the workers. It is apparent the worker didn't know how to properly use the machine. That together with the gate that was in perfect condition prior to the work and found severely damaged after (no one used the gate once the work was done until spring to allow for the grass growth and avoid walking on) I kept the snow blower up in garage so I didn't use the gate or trample the lawn) indicates it was damaged during the work.
I've spent more time and money re-seeding areas, and still have large areas of just dirt.
I would not start a program when the grass isn't growing and sparse. How would that benefit? I had a professional program in place, had to discontinue.
Sincerely,
