Cynthia and Stephen r****** bought a 2008 Honda Odyssey on 12/10/2021 from barnstorm Jeep in Spencer mass Eric the guy who sold us the van said it would take up to a week to receive our registration via text message. Eric also made an appointment for the navigation system reboot he said the battery was so dead in the van that it rebooted the whole system and it needed to be plugged in he made that appointment at the Honda dealership in Auburn mass He also told us that this appointment would not cost us anything he also never put a new battery in the van he said the one in there was fine. on 12/12/2021 Eric was contacted about the transmission jerking on the highway a tire issue And the van not having heat. On The morning of 12/13/2021 the van was dropped off with Eric Later that day Eric called and said the heat was fixed in the van And nothing was wrong with the tire and the transmission was fine. Two weeks later you could smell a burning smell inside the van when it was running Eric Was contacted again 12/29/2021 Wondering where our registration was and about ongoing transmission issue and he told us to have Honda check it out when it was there for the navigation reboot on 1/4/2022 He insisted nothing was wrong with the transmission. And he finally sent over via text message our registration. We brought the van to Lundgren Honda in Auburn mass on 1/4/2022 for navigation reboot We were informed by the Honda employee that the navigation reboot did cost a fee so we contacted Eric and he said that he would pay for any of the fees due for the navigation reboot and to have the transmission checked. Honda said in quote fluid is deteriorated and has a slight burnt smell to it. it is very low, dark and dirty Honda said if consumer complaint remains Transmission/torque converter may be needed. Eric was informed of all this and paid to have the transmission flushed. After this We tried to reach Eric numerous times on the business line and we were repeatedly told he was not
