The obituary I received the day of my mother's funeral service on Saturday February 19 was incorrect the funeral home Henderson, left out my grandmother name on the obituary on the program and in the newspaper company paper I have received many phone calls about this error and have called the funeral home Henderson and spoke with the owner Paulette Henderson about this mix up she explained how she was on this and that it will be taken care of,she did reprint some obituaries so I can pass out to my family and friends but have not reprint in the newspaper paper The correction yet that is most important that people read that my mother did have a mother . I was the informate and I spoke with the owner d director of the funeral home Paulette Henderson and I gave her my grandmother's name for the death certificate so I do not understand how that mix up happen I have since then reached out to Paulette and nothing has been completed so I hope that you can help in this matter thank you very much and have a great day

      05/04/2022

Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/03/28) */ I received a phone call from Paulette Henderson representative of Henderson funeral home. She stated how upset she was with me contacting the BBB at no point in her rant that I could speak she said she has her paperwork to send to your office BBB,then continue to say the date of the revised obituary was the 19 of March 2022. Given that this was the first time I have heard from Henderson funeral home Paulette Henderson. I checked to see if I could see the revised version of my Mom obituary no luck for that date ,I then reached out to the Republican newspaper Company classified by calling them later that day I received a call from one of their representatives she in turned look up the correct date which was March 2nd 2022 the representative also ask for my email address so I could see it for myself I thank her . I went to my email address and was astonished to see that someone took it upon themselves to change my mother's photo from the original photo and not only that they put that my grandmother *** had died or passed away in her home with her children which it should have been ******* passed away quietly at her home with her children so the unprofessionalism is so distasteful and upsetting that at this point I'm asking for a full refund on this obituary plus another revised version of my mother's old bit cuz it's still not correct so that's what I'm asking for is for them to do their job and at this point I could say this is deliberate because she didn't take the time to either call me to see if what she was putting in the paper was correct thank you very much. Business Response /* (1000, 11, 2022/04/08) */ Contact Name and Title: Steve S**** Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: ************@gmail.com Ms. ******* **** ***** died on February 1, 2022 and was buried on February 19, 2022. Let me first state that the original obituary submitted by the ***** family excluded his Grandmother's name: *** ****** *******, and it was so poorly written (see attached) that it took sometime to produce in a readable format. The obituary was 1st published on February 15, 2022, upon notification around February 28, 2022 that the original obituary was incorrect, our obituary person was informed of the error, and had the Newspaper obituary corrected at the funeral home expense, however, The corrected version of the obituary was republished March 2, 2022 still with an error. At this time, we are willing to republish republish the obituary with the correct picture at the funeral home's expense. Surprisingly, Mr. ***** seemed to be a satisfied customer by sending a 'Thank You' card and some roses to the Funeral Director, Paulette Henderson. The Henderson Funeral Home always try to create a memorable experience for our customers. On this occasion we apparently fell short. Regrettably, Paulette Henderson Consumer Response /* (3000, 13, 2022/04/12) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I am still surprised with the response from Steve s****, because I spoke with the owner Paulette Henderson as she asked me the information for the death certificate and knowing how important this information was not only for my mother's obituary this was for the insurance company to release money to her business Henderson funeral home which I **** ***** was the beneficiary on my mom's insurance anything after that should have been nail and void but they keep using this excuse that they got information from other family members which is still unacceptable and very unprofessional because I have a text message where I sent to Paulette Henderson the owner the correct spelling of *** which is ***** my grandmother's name and if she is the one that supposed to okay anything that is sent to the newspaper or printed on paper I don't know how that was overlooked by them and they never called me to let me know if anything was all right so whatever paper Steve s**** is talking about I have no idea what was on that paper but Paul let Henderson knew my grandmother's name and in the revised obit that was entered on March 2nd as I stated before there was another error which is very distasteful and hardening to learn that my grandmother died and my mother's home so another misprint and I hope this will be it at this point because I have been advised to just go to court with this and submit the corrections or the revise information and ask for my money back for this so I hope this is the end of this and they will correct it or I just would have to take this even further thank you very much **** *****
