7 months ago we purchased Cabinets from Kitchen Solutions. Early in the purchasing process and during Bill was very helpful. Some of the cabinets received were damaged and Bill ordered them along with some additional trim which was needed for finishing of our Hightop counter in our Kitchen. Bill did share that there has been some supply chain issues and in our most recent conversation in late August, 2021 he confirmed he had all the items but 1 cabinet door he had to order. We asked if we could have the Spice Drawers, Hightop Trim and let us know the ETA for the replacement door in front of where our dishwasher would be. We have left numerous calls over the past few weeks with no responses. All we are looking for are the materials so we can finish our Kitchen. Bill has been paid in full for all items other than the Cabinet Trim. We are hoping that you can help us with a resolution to this problem. Our Carpenter has quit due to the time frame and not willing to wait for the items.

Business Response /* (1000, 14, 2021/11/10) */ The business contacted BBB to advise the issue is being resolved directly with the consumer. My place with this project was to provide a kitchen plan and cabinetry to homeowners. Homeowners started project with their own general contractor that they ended up having problem with and letting go in which I really don't know all the details. It was a large floor to ceiling renovation that multiple contractors were brought into. They had legitimate multiple problems with just about every contractor they hired. So I certainly understand their frustration especially with the carpenter who installed cabinets. I ended up storing cabinets in my warehouse for months due to the problems they were having with contractors. Cabinets were delivered, installed along with granite countertops in July of 2021, 2 months prior to this complaint. Not 7 months as complaint states. When carpenter was installing he had come across a few damaged pieces that were replaced in a little over a weeks time. The biggest problem came when they went to install dishwasher and a cabinet drawer would not open because their carpenter did not pull cabinets off wall enough to clear the dishwasher. He did not follow my blueprint nor did he listen to homeowner when she pointed it out to him. The dishwasher was literally a few feet away in garage and could of easily been installed to check clearance. Instead carpenter told homeowner " this is not my first kitchen Debbie”. Granite was templated and installed, so their was no way to resolve problem without removing the granite or customizing existing cabinet. Along with this problem carpenter never brought cabinets/crown molding to ceiling as planned on blueprint and installed the crown molding upside down. When I had seen the cabinets and crown, I called him out on it with him claiming, that is the way homeowner wanted it and come to find out was far from the truth. After going out to homeowners an additional time they decided to modify/customize existing cabinet versus removing granite. I placed a parts order along with a additional order for some trim/moldings they wanted for an additional project. During this time is when I hit the inventory issues due to the supply chain issues that so many businesses have faced. I took a screenshot from cabinet companies dealer portal to show customer that the parts needed were out of stock. I contacted factory several times and they could not give me an answer when they would have parts and in return I could not give customer an answer. This is when the complaint was made to Better Business Bureau. I had told Debbie the homeowner not to pay the carpenter in full because of the countless loose ends needed to finish kitchen, but somehow he managed to get his money and never come back. Trust me he didn’t quit, he knew the problems he created and needless to say a few days later carpenter had posted on Facebook a picture of himself salmon fishing in NY and a week later a picture of him and his ex wife having drinks in a outdoor restaurant in Florida. The homeowners did not want their carpenter anywhere near their house for several reasons. They had asked me if I could finish the project. I agreed to bring out one of my installers and finish up the project for the homeowner. The end result of kitchen looks like something out of a magazine and to be honest always had and have a good relationship with homeowners. Was honest and did the best I could to get project completed even when I didn’t create any of the problems myself to begin with. Been in this business over 30 years (17 years being self employed )and never had to deal with a complaint like this. Both the homeowner and myself had thought the complaint was retracted for the fact being project was finished a while ago and never showed up on my Better Business Bureau profile. So right now I’m loss for words to be honest.
