On 1 0-10-22 my house at above address was involved in a fire. On ********* engaged the services of smoke clean of ************* and gave them $40,000 to begin repairs to said property. He began to clean up the 3rd floor apartment where the bulk of the fire damage took place. ln the meantime I paid for the electrician to relocate the electric meters to the outside of the building at a cost of $13,000 which SC of M cited that it was not part of the rebuild. Paid $3,800 for plumber- again told by SC of M not part of rebuild,$25,000 for fire alarm system-told by SCof M not part of rebuild. Told by SC of M to supply paint and that SC of M would refund money - never happened on 1-6-23 met with *************************** of SC of ********** (*****) ******* to go over estimate of repairs which was requested since 11-15-22 in the meantime my ******** were living in a camper we were dealing with my wife's father being on his deathbed. He passed away on 1-8-23. I reviewed said estimate and determined that what he was charging was outrageous, so I informed him on 1-8-23 to finish the work that in had already paid for and to return the check for $58,333,33 that we had given him on 1-6-23 and that his services were no longer required.SC of M charged me $6,120 for said estimate,$34,180 to gut 3rd floor apartment. Also $5,240 for 10 windows which i still haven't received as of this writing of this letter. lt became obvious that SC of M was intending to defraud me from the onset of this project. They performed very little work for the $85,000 they were paid to date, 1-6-23.1 also notice them bringing demo materials from other job sites and depositing them in a dumpster on my job site. By not returning my $58,333,33 check and not proving the windows I paid for ($5,2+o;,which my present contractor ordered, received and installed in 3 weeks, l will be forced to get a mortgage on said property. Your help in resolving this matter in an expeditious manner will be deeply appreciated.

Attached to this email is the insurance estimate/breakdown, as well as Smoke Cleans estimate and breakdown, a description of work completed, a signed contract between us and **************

************** reached out to his "nephew" ***************************" who is an employee of ours regarding a fire he had at his house. Myself (chase as well as ******) met **************, his wife and walked the property. After our meeting he retained our services to mitigate and rebuild his home. We met with the insurance adjuster and walked the property. We provided a detailed estimate after receiving the estimate from the insurance company. Both are attached. After ************** received the supplemental and revised estimate from the insurance company we began working at the property. Not only did we provide services outlined in the estimate but ****** spent days and hours working with ************* to help him find plumbers, electricians as well flooring contractors. It was not until all the work we completed and ************** was due for his next payment when he decided for us to now give him a quote for the remaining work to be completed. We provided him the quote based on the attached outlined estimate and contract and he decided to get other prices. I am completely appalled that he took a personal picture of myself and daughter offline that was July 7th of 2018 and said that I sent that to him, a completely false statement but irrelevant. Our estimate is attached and outlined, he also agreed to the estimate in which was attached to the contract that he signed back 01/6/****

if you need anything please feel free to reach out to us

      ***************************, Manager @ Smoke Clean

      Thank you!

Smoke Clean Restoration came to my house in 2020 to remediate a mold problem. They removed the mold and sprayed anti microbial paint. They guaranteed their work and gave us a certificate that stated if the mold came back they would come back and resolve the issue. In October of 2022, mold had grown back. Smoke Clean Restoration was contacted. They came back to my house and sprayed bleach. The bleach leaked through the ceiling and through the ventilation in the roof. The bleach ruined the shingles on the side of the house, bedding, and hardwood flooring. The company owner promised to reimburse me for the bedding but he was not responsible for the flooring or shingles. I have yet to be reimbursed for the bedding. The owner has not been back to spray the anti microbial paint to ensure that mold is encapsulated. He has no showed three times and sent workers with improper tools to complete the job. He is also aware that there is an infant in the house and the dangers of mold for an infant.

On April 14th, my bathroom and kitchen ceiling suffered a flood due to a corroded pipe in my upstairs master bathroom. I signed a contract with Smoke clean to provide clean-up services, restoration, repairs, and remodeling. The contract was signed on June 1, 2022 and the clean up and partial demolition began on 6/27/22. Since then, have made more than 16 phone calls and numerous emails to them to complete the remaining demolition and to begin the reconstruction process. On 8/23/22, they completed demolition of the bathroom floor, but did not remove the vanity nor did they remove the remaining tile from the wall as they were supposed to. It has now been 4 weeks without any sort of communication from them at all. I have called over 10 times, left numerous messages, and sent numerous emails. My insurance adjuster and my plumber have also attempted to reach out several times. They will not answer any calls or return any phone calls. I sent a check for $5000 so far. According to the contract, complete demolition is $1200. At this point, I am looking to have the remaining money refunded and I would like to terminate my contract with Smoke Clean.
