I booked a cruise with ****** and everything was paid for. But we had to cancel the cruise because of emergency surgery; when I called them to see if they could help to work out with the cruise line, They said there was nothing they could do. I contacted cruise line, I was told they could do nothing since it was booked through agent. At the end of the day, Nothing that WTH can do to help. and they even charge me an extra $100 cancellation fee. All they do is try to get your money. DO BOOK ANYTHING THROUGH THEM.

      ************,

We are sorry to see that you had to cancel your cruise vacation due to an emergency. The $100.00 WTH cancel fee has been submitted for refund as a one-time courtesy to you and should appear on your credit card statement with in 1 to 2 billing cycles.

The penalty is held by the cruise line and is their cancellation policy in which WTH has no control over and is not able to waive it. We suggest to always purchasing travel insurance in the furture for unforseen incidents and emergencies.

I booked online because I saw an offer for inside cabin with drinks and WiFi at the rate of $199 per person. After booking, I called the cruise line to find out if there was an option to upgrade my included basic beverage package to premium. I was told by the cruise line that I dont have drinks or WiFi with my reservation. when I called united cruises, they said I booked an economical rate with nothing included. I tried explaining that this didnt make any sense to me considering what I selected online. I sent the images and information to a supervisor who never got back to me. I then reached another supervisor *******, who said the price of a cruise with included beverages and WiFi is not $199 but that i can pay the difference if thats what I want. I asked repeatedly why it was listed at that price if its not the price, she couldnt give me an answer. So I moved forward to her supervisor whos supposed to be in corporate, Junior. Who was unable to answer my questions either, and just continued to point out that the price is not $199 for included beverages and WiFi.. I would have no way of knowing, I just booked what was posted online. I expected it to be honored. No honoring was done. This travel company posts false pricing to get you to book, then charges you for canceling. Stay away.

We see that the booking is cancelled, and customer care was able to advise on the pricing and promotions that you booked online.

I booked a cruise with ****** Cruises using my ****** Miles but two days later when I received the mail confirming my cruise, ****** Cruises had charged my ****** credit card for the full amount. When I called them to try and correct the error, they said the time had passed to make changes. I explained the error and was told to call ****** Airlines who promptly sent me back to ****** Cruises. After speaking with them again, they informed me that MSC Cruises could fix the error easily. Yet, after contacting MSC, I was told they could do nothing since it was booked through ****** Cruises. Again, I called ****** Cruises and after no resolution was available, I cancelled the cruise on March 12, 2024. They were unable to send me a cancellation confirmation because of a "technical glitch" and told me their tech department would work on it. As of today, March 27, 2024, after calling yet again, I am still unable to get any type of confirmation that my $874.50 will be refunded to my ****** credit card. The *************** is still working on it!

This company is a rip-off. I believe they are also doing business as/with Spirit Cruises. I booked a cruise costing $419.99. The taxes, port charges etc amounted to $200.00. Total should have been $619.00. I was charged an additional $220.00 which this company conveniently placed in the taxes and port charge colum. It wasn't until I was on the cruise and inquired about the high price of the port charges that I discovered the additional $220.00 was their commision. Then they had the audacity to charge me a $24.99 processing fee. I did call the company and asked them why they did not disclose their commision fee upfront and how they conveniently placed that amount in the same colum as the port charges to make it appear that entire amount was just for taxes, and port charges. The representative explained that was their commision when someone booked a cruise. I asked her why wasn't that docunmented in the paperwork in another area, instead of in the exact same colum as the port charges. This is misleading and dishonest!! Before ending my call I informed her they would never have to worry about me ever doing business with them again. Adding I was going to warn other individuals about how they conduct business.

      Ms. ********,

We apologize for any misunderstanding or confusion you may have had with your cruise pricing. Our confirmations break out the cabin rate separately and combine port charges, taxes, and government fees. In this case your cabin only rate was $419.00 and port charges, taxes and government fees were $420.00. The only amount World Travel Holdings *** / Spirit Cruises charges above the cruise line is $24.99 processing fee. If you look at your credit card statement you will see the only thing that you paid to World Travel Holdings,*** is the $24.99 processing fee, the $839.00 was paid directly to MSC cruise line. All travel agencies do receive a commission, but it is not an additional charge that is added into cruise pricing or passed onto the client, it is already factored into the cruise pricing that is the same pricing the cruise line would charge you if you booked with them directly.

I hope this helps in understanding the confirmation breakdown.

The shore excursions are in general a joke. Cruises.com outsourced the trip to a vendor in ******, the vendor in ****** outsourced it again to some other travel agent. So nobody really knows who would hold the trip. After raised the safety concern, the vendor or travel agent considered me to deny the trip myself and refused to refund, and I had to dispute via my credit card company, but still couldn't get a full refund.

I am disappointed with World Travel. I booked a cruise on Jan 8, ****, through cruise with points Marriott. World Travel books for Marriott. I asked when booking about the specialty dinning on Norwegian cruise, I asked if we would receive 2 specialty dinning, travel agent ***** said yes. When I looked at our booking on NCL a week later I noticed that we only had 1 specialty dinning. I sent an email to ***** and asked about the 2-specialty dinning she said yes 2, 1 each. When booking I was not asking for 1 each, I was asking for 2 each. She was misleading, my friend was on a three-way call with us and thought we would have 2 each also. I received no apology after questioning the dinning with *****. I called customer service and complained and was connected with a manager named *****. ***** said that ***** was correct in what she said 2 specialty dinners. I replied she was misleading us. ***** did offer me $25 cruise credit, or she could cancel my cruise. I said I need to check with other places for rebooking the cruise. She then offered $50 cruise credit, $ 25 for me and $25 for my husband. I asked if they would include our friends that booked at the same time, she said no. I couldn't cancel my cruise without losing money, so I am staying with this cruise. I have taken a cruise before and booked with cruise with points same company and didn't have any problems. **********

Hi ****, thank you for reaching out to Marriott.  We are disappointed to hear of any confusion regarding the dinning promotion.  The dining promotion is a dinner for 2. We are pleased to learn your concerns for the confusion was resolved with the $50.00 credit.  Should you have any additional questions were happy to help!  Thank you again for reaching out to Marriott.

I booked a cruise with Cruises.com agent, *************************. Initially he was very helpful and friendly. As a first-time cruise passenger, I had a lot of questions, and he was very helpful. I thanked him and he suggested I email his supervisor to tell him that he was helpful. I thought it was odd, but I was thankful for his help, and I complied. Then ***** asked if he could contact me via cell phone to answer cruise questions. I complied to avoid calling their 800 number. Soon thereafter he said he might be on my cruise as Princess (the cruise line he booked me on) had given him free cruises for selling so many cruises. He also said he might surprise me by showing up in *********** one day. (Where I live.) At this point, I became nervous. I politely emailed him I was not interested in meeting and preferred he not look me up on the cruise. After that, he would not return calls or emails when I had with travel questions. After about a month, I called the general number and asked to speak to another agent, ****************, and I shared my story, she seemed to empathize. But after that NO one would return my calls or emails at Cruises.com. I did not even receive their customary bon voyage call. So, then I just used Princess.com for cruise questions. My cruise went fine, but I feel Cruises.com handled the situation poorly. I believe ***** was inappropriate and I was treated as the problem. I will not book with them again. I truly detest how I let him make me feel. I felt powerless and hopeless for a while. But I took my power back and did enjoy my cruise. I feel I have to let others know what happened.

I had to cancel my cruise that was scheduled for March ****, I did so in September 2023 six months before our departure date. BUYER BEWARE- read the fine print!!! I would never recommend or use this company again! I cancelled well within the window for no penalty but things you may not notice are a $100 cancellation fee that I was required to pay to get my refund. Absolutely ridiculous given the long notice given and the dates being twice the 90 days required to cancel supposedly with no penalty. They say this can be applied to another reservation within a year. After such a horrible experience I cant imagine EVER booking with them again so I feel like they stole $100 from me to get my OWN money back. In addition they did not want to refund my initial deposit and said it could take up to 2 billing cycles from the date of cancellation to be applied back to the card I used. I used a debit card and I have been through 2 bank statements and no money has been returned. **** I called today they said they still have till November 15 to refund my money. My question is why? Why alienate what would have been a good and possibly repeat customer by making the process to get my refund so difficult and lengthy. I believe that **** business days should be the longest time in which they can have to process a refund. What they are doing is ridiculous, its bad business, and I most definitely will not give up until my money is returned. At this late date its more the principle of the thing. Maybe theyd do a good job if everything went ideally but there is ZERO trust now. I feel like they robbed me not just of my deposit but the stupid processing fee of an additional $100.

After booking a cruise for Royal Caribbean, Icon of the Seas on Cruises.com, I was told that my cabin # would be assigned when you get to the Pier. That raised a red flag for me, with all the overbookings going on. I asked the agent to refund my deposit if she couldn't provide me with my cabin #. Then she wants to charge me a $100.00 cancellation plus a $24.99 processing fee for a reservation that was just made minutes ago. Folks, be very careful booking your cruise with 3rd party companies like Cruises.com. They will book your cruise even when they know that the cabin is not available, just to purposely ruin your vacation. You just cannot trust them anymore.

We were able to look further into your booking and determined the reservation was self booked online without the assistance of a travel professional, under a guarantee cabin. At the time of booking Royal Caribbean only had guarantee cabins available for this sailing. This means you may book a stateroom of a guaranteed category type (Interior, Oceanview, Balcony or Suite) on your chosen ship and cruise.

However, the exact grade, number and location of the stateroom on the ship will be allocated by Royal Caribbean and at any time up until checking in at the port.

Once your guarantee stateroom has been allocated to you,Royal Caribbean is unable to accept any changes requested by you. Guests booked in guarantee cabins may not be berthed with other travelling parties due to availability. Staterooms allocated may be subject to obstructed views.

A guarantee stateroom is when the cruise line gives you a discount on a particular category of rooms in exchange for giving up the ability to choose your exact room. A guarantee cabin does not mean there are no cabins available on the ship.

The cancel fee of $100.00 is standard but we show Cruises.com wavied that fee as a one-time courtesy for you.

Thank you for your time and allowing us to clarify your concerns.
