              I reached out to Tufts Veterinary Clinic due to a health issue my dog was facing. They told me over the phone approximately what the estimated cost for the procedure I was in need of and they would set me up with a telehealth consult with the vet and we would go from there.I spoke briefly with the vet on the phone and she went over some information and said she would send me an estimate of the procedure.I reviewd the estimate and it was much higher than I was told on the phone. They called me back and she elimated some things that looked incorrect on the estimate. It was still too high and I found another care provider that was much more reasonable.After telling Tufts I would not be using them, they proceeded to tell me there would now be a telehealth consultation charge of $159. This "consultation charge" was never discussed during any previous phone call, or on any of the estimates I had received after the phone calls. I told them this and they continue to send me the invoice even though I told them I was wrongfully charged and would not be paying it.

              My dog's life-threatening emergency led me to this hospital. I had the worst experience from the moment I walked through the door until I asked for his discharge. The fact that their employees are trained to collect money before touching your sick animal is the reason why I would never go back. They take advantage of people's weaknesses without any empathy or compassion whatsoever. I even spoke to the director of the hospital and all she had to say was well there are other emergency hospitals you could of gone. Must I remind you at that moment every minute counted and this was the closest emergency hospital near me that is how I ended up here. If I had the time to search and read about the place, I would have chosen to go elsewhere. From the time I walked in to the time I left, all they knew to say was pay or you would need to euthanize your dog. This was the worst experience I've ever had, I won't go back!
