I placed an order for a pair of Figure Skates on 11th January for $60, and the order was supposed to be delivered within 3 days. However, it has still not even been handed over to the courier company. I have tried emailing American Athletic, called their listed contact number and left a message through the Contact Us section on the website, but it seems impossible to get in touch with them.Business response

We shipped out this order the same day the order was placed on January 11th via *** Tracking ID ******************. this item seems to have been lost in transit. The customer reached out on Sunday 1/14/2024 (our office is closed on Saturday and Sunday), Monday was a holiday MLK day (1/15/2024).on Tuesday morning at 8:45AM (1/16/2024) we replied to her emails looking for the lost package. we checked with *** and still did not see the package being delivered. we then sent her a free replacement on 1/18/2024. We reacted as quickly and professionally as possible in this matter. I have attached multiple screenshots of us replying to the customer via the timeline described above. We also sent her the new tracking ID which we shipped ***** since the first package was lost via ***. New tracking ID is ************Initial Complaint

American Athletic Shoe Co.'s website advertised "Black Friday Sale! Save 15% storewide + free shipping! Discount applied at checkout. Ends 11/30!". I ordered four 1/2" Radius rings for my skate sharpener, that had an advertised regular price of $59.99 each, on order #**** . I paid $208.97 with my Paypal account. This would have been a savings of $35.99 ; however, they did also charge $5.00 for shipping, which should have been "free". On Monday, 11/29/21, I received an email that stated: "Order #**** was canceled because we did not have enough stock to fulfill your order and your payment has been refunded ." That same day, I sent an email inquiring which size grinding rings they did have in stock and did not receive a reply as of 11/30/21 the day the sale ended. However, on Tuesday, 11/30 I went to their website and saw that the price of their grinding rings had been increased to $74.00 each and the "only 0 left in stock" was added to the order field, which was not there when I placed my order. There was initially no indication on their website that any of the Radius grinding rings were not in stock. American Athletic Shoe Co. failed to honor their advertised pricing and cheated me out of $35.99 savings and $5.00 for "free shipping", had they fulfilled my order. Also, I would have ordered a different size of these grinding rings, had they, or their website, initially indicated that they did not have the 1/2" or other sizes of these Radius grinding rings in stock, before they changed the price on 11/30/21 . I also would have been willing to wait for them to fulfill my order, until they could restock these items, if they, indeed, did not actually have them in stock. I believe that the only reason my order was cancelled was that American Athletic Shoe Co. did not want to honor their advertised price.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/12/01) */ Hello, We notified this customer that this item is out of stock the same day they placed the order. We have no way of fulfilling an order we do not have inventory on. This time of year is extremely busy so this order slipped through before we were able to update the inventory on our website. We are a small family owned company and we do our absolute best to make the best shopping experience for all our customers. We have fully refunded this customer for their order and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Consumer Response /* (3000, 8, 2021/12/09) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) American Athletic Shoe Company's response stating: "We notified this customer that this item is out of stock the same day they placed the order." is not true. I ordered the items on Friday, November 26th and received a "Thank you for your purchase!" email that same day. I also received a receipt of payment from my Paypal account that same day. There was nothing on American Athletic Shoe Co.'s website, at that time, indicating any inventory or stock amounts; this feature was added to their website on Tuesday, November 30th along with the price increase. I received an email from the store on Monday, November 29th telling me that my order had been cancelled "because we did not have enough stock to fulfill your order...". The fact remains that American Athletic Shoe Co. advertised and accepted my order and then reneged on that order. I presume that this was after they realized that they had failed to update their pricing prior to the sale; and, had they honored their sale pricing, would possibly have had to sell the items for a very low profit or a loss. Minimally, they should have offered to fulfill my order, at the sale pricing, as soon as they could reorder the items. A sale is not a sale, if you do not deliver the goods.
