My parents received a quote from this company and signed a contract. They were not made aware of the cancellation policy, if there is any, and this transaction was not done at home, it was done via Docusign. When the paperwork was submitted for approval to the Condo Association, they were advised to seek other quotes, which they did and received significantly lower quotes. This writer informed Airco that my parents would be cancelling the contract to which they stated that there was a $1000 fee because of the "cooling off" period. I asked where was that stated in the contract, representative stated that I would not find the fee anywhere because this was not done in person. The representative proceeded to state that they would file a mechanical lien (no work has been done). When I asked again to be directed to the part on the contract where it stated that there was a cancellation fee and a period of time to do, representative stated that they would proceed with filing for collections. We were willing to reimburse the company for the permit fee, but they escalated to threatening to file a lien and collections, even though there was no indication on the contract of these factors.
