Jeremy was hired to remodel my bathroom and Install an LVL after removing a wall that separated the living room and Kitchen. Jeremy said he was capable of doing the work and he had the experience as he was referred to my realtor. Jeremy gutted the bathroom and in the process somehow felt he needed to replace the hot water baseboard-line to all the baseboard in the house not just the line in the bathroom. The line was not leaking or anything so he ended up damaging the heating system and we had not heat for 10 days during the winter. The heating system and new lines caused us thousand of dollars to get replaced by a plumber. Jeremy made holes in the wall separating the living room from the kitchen and told us for days he was going to get it done until he final confess he was not able to do the wall and we should hire someone else. We ended up paying Jeremy about $8000 and paying another $4000 for the heating he damaged. We are currently suing Jeremy G and his company Geary Home Improvement.

I was hired by the customers Realtor to do a bathroom remodel and LVL install. Her Realtor was my point of contact at the start and end, with very little in the middle. I started on Thursday March 19th by removing sheetrock from the wall that was going to ve replaced with an LVL. While I was doing that, they had another person painting and a second person sanding cabinets, all in the same room. I decided to move to the bathroom the following day because of all the dust from removing the wall and it interfering with the other work going on. So yes, there were holes in a wall that was coming down either way. Since I was gutting the bathroom and removing debris, I thought I could get all the demo done first and load into my Dumpster. However, I wasn't allowed to park my Dumpster out front for a reason that was never given to me.By the 30th of March, I was nearly finished gutting the bathroom when I accidentally made a small cut in a supply line to her hot water baseboard heater (which was being replaced). I immediately shut the main water off and assessed the situation. This happened around 5pm on a Saturday with Easter Sunday the following day. I messaged the customer to let her know the problem, notified her the water was off and that I would work through Easter to temporarily fix the issue until I could get a plumber in on the following Monday to repair. She seemed to think that I should have already been done the job (bathroom remodel and LVL replacement takes much longer than 10 Days) and was upset by the situation. I worked through Easter and had reconnected the line to bypass that bathroom heater and connect to the one in the kitchen. This was just temporary until I could get the plumber in. The drained the water heater and refilled it after I was done. I made no repairs to the boiler whatsoever. As for the money paid to me. The customer is claiming that she paid me $8000, which is false. My bank records show 2 separate deposit payments for $2500 each, totaling $5000. I used $1000 of that to purchase materials for the bathroom, which were left there for them to use. By the Monday following Easter, I was removed from the job and was not given the proper opportunity to fix the issue. I did and still do feel terrible for the mistake and only had good intentions trying to temporarily fix the issue. Had I been given the opportunity to solve the problem, I probably wouldn't be writing this. I am being taken to small claims court for this incident, but am still willing to resolve it.
