I ordered a bike rack for my jeep. (It was the sales persons 2nd day on the job.) At the time of ordering I specifically mentioned we were a first responder family - they offered a 10% discount. I also requested they assemble the rack for an additional charge. After being told the rack was in but wouldn't be ready "for a couple days" on 4 separate occasions (over the course of 2 weeks), I stopped in today and it was finally ready. They rang up the sale and I paid for it. When we went outside to install it, they realized it needed an extension. No problem. Went back inside to purchase that. I asked if I could also get the 10% First Responder Discount for that as well and he said yes and applied it. At that point, I questioned whether it was applied to initial purchase of $600 for bike rack minutes before and was told no. I asked if they could make a credit adjustment but was told "it's too late - the sale has been rung up." I had not even left the store nor signed invoice/receiptBusiness response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/07) */ We only offer discounts of 10% off to the actual person/customer that is a Fire, Police or Miltary member. It needs to be applied at the first point of contact and we need to see the ID. The discount does not extend to additional family members unless they are specifically a member of the unit also. We all have friends or family members that are in a unit, however we are not allowed to use their discount.
