Purchased luxury vinyl planking for my kitchen/dining room. Put deposit down. The subcontractors showed up on Sept 15 & 16, 2022 to perform work. On the 15th, they just laid down a cement product to level between the flooring (there was still a difference due to the difference in flooring materials-which was pointed out to the owner when he came to measure). They came back on the 16th to lay the flooring. (Please note: There were two 1/2 walls between the kitchen & dining room, which we removed. This allowed a straight laying of the floor between the 2 rooms) Many issues: Did not do under my dishwasher; did not put trim back up; broke some trim; scratched the floor; no transition pieces; missing pieces; overcut pieces; broke wheel on refrigerator (which caused some of the scratches). Not to mention the unprofessionalism by both gentlemen. I went to Carpet Warehouse on 9/17/2022 & spoke to one of the owners, *****. Told him what happened. He called his brother (the other owner)& they stated they were firing these guys and he stated that another subcontractor (who had done my carpeting 2 months prior), would be coming back to fix my floors and to do a new job in my living room. ***** stated that he would come to measure my living room. He did come measure the living room, he proceeded to chastise me about removing the walls, causing a difference in the flooring levels - there was a difference whether we removed the walls or not. He then told me that we probably broke the wheel on the refrigerator, how could we prove they did it. He did note the overcutting of pieces and lack of pieces, scratches, etc. He continued on about how they now had to change their company policies due to us. I spoke to my husband after he left and then called ***************back. He called me back a couple hours later and when I said I did not want to proceed until the kitchen was fixed, he went off on us. I paid in full for a damaged floor, Now they want to send the same subcontractors back NO
