I got Xtend contracting through **** to repair my deck. However, after speaking with the company president on August 17, 2023, he encouraged me to replace the whole deck for $3,500 and he promised to install the new deck in my backyard in 2 weeks if I drop a deposit of $2000 for materials and as a sign of commitment. I gave him a personal check for $2000 on 08/17/23 same day before he left Its been 4 weeks now and Ive not heard back from them. Ive called several times since the 2weeks passed and I heard nothing. Theyve long cashed my check but not a single call. He answered my call the 3 weeks saying that he was rounding up a project and my house was next and would call me the next day to let me know when they were coming. I accepted and gave him the benefit of the doubt but he didnt call back as promised. Its the end of another week now and my voice messages have received no response from this company.Initial Complaint

I signed a contract and paid Xtend $5,000 by personal check on March 29, 2023. As soon as Xtend cashed my check, I could not get them to respond to my texts, calls or email. I am either ignored, promised a call back (but no call back), or I get excuse after excuse. After waiting days for a response, I contact Xtend to follow up, and the cycle repeats.I was told by Xtend that the work would start on April 10, 2023. The work did not start on April 10, and when that date passed, Xtend did not contact me to give me an explanation for the delay or provide an estimate for when the work would actually start. I have voiced my concerns to Xtend numerous times, and I have not gotten any meaningful response from Xtend. The company has not tried to resolve the matter in any way.Xtend has not done any work at all, and I have no desire to continue working with this company. At this point, I just want a full refund.Customer response
