              Repeated attempts dating back to January of 2024 for refund of charges applied to my credit card after service was cancelled. I have contacted Life Line and spoke with representatives in March, April an May of this year, in an attempt to have them issue the credit adjustment only to get no response or them telling me on several occasions that it would take 4-6 weeks to receive the refund. It is now May 28th and on another call with their billing department they told me it would be an additional 4-6 weeks to receive my credit of $51.90. This company is preying on vulnerable adults, who often live on fixed incomes only to delay payment in hopes that they will give up trying to receive a credit adjustment that is due them.

              Of course I was grateful and appreciative of the very professional EMTs who responded to my emergency when I needed help. The billing department on the other hand are effectively mobsters. Despite being covered completely by health insurance for my transport and treatment, and despite me providing LifeLine with the necessary and accurate information to **** my health insurance, 3 separate times by 2 different routes (my insurance is through a large, national insurance company by the way, not some obscure boutique operation), the billing department continues to send threatening demands directly to me for payment. They do not answer the phone when you call the number on the ****, and they do not respond to written or faxed letters. This is extortion, plain and simple, trying to squeeze the maximum out of the victim while they are vulnerable, and avoid dealing with insurance companies like any respectable health provider would.
