I purchased a car from Cambridge Street Auto Exchange in November 2023 on 1/9/23 as I am driving up a one way street which is also a hill my car would no longer accelerate and began going backwards. I contacted Auto exchange and spoke ****** on 1/17/24. I could not get a hold of anyone prior to that. scheduled drop off the following day 1/18/24 9am. Office was closed. Called and was told by ****** that mechanic was on his way. He did not get their until 10:45. the trans was ******* & replace filter &speed sensor. Picked car up 1/19/24 $235 was told drive the car ***** miles to reset. In the process of driving it the check engine light comes on. mechanic told bring it back. 1/25 2nd time. Mechanic tells me its the CV Axle and $235.33 Pick up car on 1/26/24 on 1/27/24 driving to reset check engine light comes on again. 1/30/24. 3rd it is another part. Pick car up 2/2/24. Am told its allset 50 miles to reset. 2/3/24 once again uphill as I live in a city full of hills this time it is not accelerating or shifting. Car was towed for $150 for a diagnostic test and was told needed new transmission and was not sure why the prior work from the dealer mechanic was done as that was not going to rectify the car issue. New mechanic diagnosed new mechanic and quoted me $2977.66 to fix my car in which I put a $2000 deposit down for the needed repair and $977.60 due upon completion of job. I Informed the owner to rectify and was brushed I was sold a car in 11/23 knowing it was defected with no regard to my safety, jeopordized my life and my children. I am looking to be reimbursed for the $470.00 I paid to dealer mechanic for the $150 to get my car towed also have all receipts to new mechanic and for the $2977.66 plus $150 spent on cabs back and forth to their establishment as well as getting around the days my car was in their shop for a total of $3,747 dollars I had to come out of pocket to make my car safe for my children and myself for being sold a defected unsafe car.
