On 7/15/2021 Tom from Colman Refrigeration gave as a quote on building a walk in cooler at our house. We both signed a contract and we gave Tom a Three Thousand Dollar cash deposit. Contract says cooler will be installed on or before August 10 2021. After many no shows and no phone calls asked for our deposit back he said he had the panels and would drop them off and his son in law did. He finally showed a week later for two and a half hours and got about 30 percent of job completed and we haven't seen him again. I have left two messages telling him we just want our money back and for him to pickup the panels and mess he has left here. If you could help it would save the aggravation of small claims court. Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/09/29) */ This is a job we started it's an hour and 45 min from our shop. This job Required to be done on a Monday. We had it Schedule. Jen had to change that date to the next week, But my problem was we were over book because of the hot weather. So we Finally made it down there made some good Progress. Then the next time down my truck broke down. Then I had a Heath problem that set us back along with a few more just plan bad luck. I recently spent four days in the hospital for Fluid build up in my arms and legs. I will contact Paul tomorrow to hopefully work things out. Paul and Jen are very nice people and this should of been done already, But things I can't control happened and the best thing I can do is finish this for them. I can't refund but what I can do is have the rest of the material down and you or another contractor can finish this. Or give me one more try. We can finish this in one good day. Am feeling better and can finish this up. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/09/29) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) After the experience we have had over the last 10 weeks the only way to rectify this situation is a full refund of our money and pickup the panels that were dropped off. The hole experience has been terrible. I was hoping not to go to small claims court but we will if he doesn't refund our deposit.
