Obtained Law Firm name from my legal service plan. A woman answered but never identified herself. I was asked a few basic questions to include my eligibility ID # with *******, description of citations and if a court date had already been set. I provided her with the hearing date and explained that I would need a postponement as I would be out of town. The woman stated that I could file the postponement, or she could on my behalf. The woman asked for the details of the incident which I tried to articulate over the phone, however, found this difficult as these were moving violations. The woman stated that she would not be able to assist me with the case as she wasn't available on the date of court. I reminded the woman that I would be requesting a postponement, but her response was that she wouldn't be available the following week either. I asked the woman how she would know if she wasn't going to be available if why she would have me go through the entire incident if she wasn't available on the court date that I provided her with at the beginning of the conversation, and her response was "either way, I won't be able to assist you." I asked if another attorney in the practice would be able to assist me, and she stated there was not. I asked the woman's name, which she provided, and then asked if she was the actual attorney, which she confirmed that she was. I was floored that an attorney would represent themselves in this manner and asked if she could spell her name. Her response was, "you can get it from the website." I informed her that I only had the law firms name and asked why she wasn't able to provide me with the spelling of her name. She then provided me with the spelling, "Shanyell ******." Immediately after the call, I googled the law firm and found that the spelling I was given was completely incorrect, and the correct spelling is Shawnielle ********* I am completely shocked and appalled by this attorney's behavior.
