Last year I had a accident no fault of my own. The person who caused the accident had a rental car the insurance co. was **** but the 2nd party was ************************** who the claim was given to that fixed my 2004 Surberban SUV. I had done business with Izee Auto before so I thought my truck would be fixed. When they called me too pick my truck up there where parts of my truck in the trunk. Long story short the ins. co. stated on their report that they re-inspected the truck on 7/13/21 the shop wanted to take all the parts off & pull the front support because nothing is in line. per Nick Cooper he told the body shop they were NOT going to pay to dismantle my vehicle because they should have known from the start how to fix it. He stated this was poor workmanship. The body shop that the support was pushed in it was NOT , the right door is out of alignment they stated no wonder I brought the truck back. He then said it was the shop's problem & the shop said it was the insurance co.'s problem now I am stuck w a truck I cnnot drive.

      Business response

      12/01/2021

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/11/08) */ We (at IZEE AUTO BODY) did work on John ****'s vehicle based on his insurance estimate. The parts that the insurance company has on his claim were all recycled parts. We advised the insurance to buy some new parts but they refused. They said that Mr **** doesn't want his vehicle totalled. Mr. **** complained that the hood did not line up after picking up his truck and we requested for a supplement. The adjuster came out and said they would adjust the estimate and approve the additional work to be done. Also the vehicle is drivable. We did not do anything mechanical to the vehicle. Mr **** said his vehicle has been sitting, so we just want to point out that the vehicle is drivable. We waited for the insurance company to approve the supplement for over two months the vehicle was at the shop. Each time we reached out to the insurance company, they said they would send adjust out to the shop to take another look at the vehicle and they never did. The insurance company was supposed to communicate with the shop if they disagree with anything the shop did or not, but they have not reached out to the shop with any decisions. We are still waiting for the insurance company to approve the supplement, the moment they do, we will work on what they approved. Mr. ****, please reach out to your insurance company to approve the supplement for the shop. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/11/12) */ Consumer provided a rebuttal via fax. Business Response /* (4000, 11, 2021/11/18) */ Mr **** we appreciate your business. But you make it seem like we were paid and we did not do the work we were paid to do. But the fact is that we recommended to the insurance company what to do from the onset but they did what they wanted anyway. Starting from the parts to the door and hood alignment. They only paid to repair the door, nothing on aligning the door. We did not ask them to pay for what is not related to the accident, but they refused to fix your vehicle properly, not IZEE AUTO BODY. You told us how hard it was for them to return your calls but now you are making it seems like we are the problem. The check you signed was the first supplement which included the price adjustment from the wrong parts they had on the estimate. See attachment. There are rooms for 1st, second, third and so on supplement, until the vehicle is done. So if the insurance company does not want to pay the additional damages and recommendations, then it is them you should be fighting. You also tried to add things that completely unrelated to the accident: see attachment. The rear passenger door has nothing to do with the accident but you said that rear door needs adjusting too. And that water is coming in over top of rear door. *********** said you did not want your vehicle totalled, that's why he must be careful adding other things in the repairs. Ask him. The parts in your vehicle were old parts replaced from your vehicle that was left in case you needed to see them. You requested a copy of your estimate and we provided you with all copies, though the insurance company was supposed to have provided them to you. We did provide you with a receipt of your payment, maybe you need to look around for where you kept them. We can also provide you with another one if that's what you want. You mentioned that you haven't been using your vehicle that is why we mentioned that the vehicle is drivable. We asked you to pick up your vehicle because it was just sitting at our shop and taking up space for more than two months when you were also out of town. Tell the insurance company to approve our recommendations and it will be done. Consumer Response /* (4200, 13, 2021/11/23) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) 1. Izee Auto never gave me a copy of the work that was done on my truck. 2. They gave me a receipt of the cash I gave them to start the work on the truck. They would not let me sign over the ins. check to them. 3. The insurance co. provided me with a write up of the work to be done. 4. Parts of my truck were inside of the trunk when they told me my truck was ready. The fender liner above the right tire was inside the truck. The front R door is jammed becasue of the impact was on the front right side on the passenger side of the truck. 5. The right front passenger door is jam & you must slam it hard. I never said anything was wrong w the r back passenger door. 6. The right front side from the HOOD bumper & door nothing lines up. 7. Again like Mr. *********** said it's poor workmanship. 8. When I received the next check for the supplemental work I gave that check to the AUTO Body shop ASAP 9.I am driving the TRCK I never said it wasn't driveable I stated about the RIGHT front passenger side of the TRUCK was not done correctly. 10. I never received a break down from the body shop on the supplemental work either.
