my last visit to the ewc was in federal hill on 6-3-22, but that location was not listed on the bbb website. this business does not properly train its employees on how to properly wax by holding the skin TAUT. employees have no idea what that word even means. i have been to the ewc in canton in the past and my first experience there was the same as the most recent one. to make sure i get a good leg wax, i first ask the employee to hold the skin TAUT. but they don't know how to do that and they don't even try. Taut means there is NO SLACK in the skin. i first waxed my legs 25 years ago, so I know how to do it right. but i really like the special wax that ewc has. so that's why i keep giving them another try. but if you don't have properly trained employees you are wasting people's time and money. i do not enjoy feeling stubble on my skin just a few days after being waxed! what's the point of that? the employees would rather use the "lazy" technique of putting a long section of wax from the ankle to the knee, instead of doing shorter sections. and then guess what, they have to go over and over the same areas later. so they are not effectively waxing at all. also, guess what....once you pull that wax off the first time, it's game over. you can try to re-wax the area, but the hair has already been broken off and it's now too short to be grab again by more waxing. you only get ONE TIME to wax it right!!! i can't believe i have to spell out instructions for a waxing company. but i wanted to let you know that you are ripping people off by offering waxing services that are horrible. and people don't have time to "go back" for touch-ups.....why can't you get it right the first time? i have several friends who have had the same experiences and they don't bother complaining, they just take their money to another salon that can do it right. i really like ewc, but you have just 1 job to do and you can't do it. please stop allowing employees to be lazy.
