I went on to obtain an EIN number/llc. I paid $279 and $509 for the two items, but have not received anything. I have reached out to, but have not received a response back. I seeking a refund of $788.Business response

They appear to look like the IRS and charge you $250. I called in less than a minute after I filed with them and asked to cancel the transaction immediately. They told me they might still charge me 75 bucks. This is free to do directly in the IRS website and this is misleading. I want all of my money back.Business response

I went onto the North Carolina government web site on September 27, 2023 to obtain and EIN number/llc and sales and tax use certificate. Somehow this business appeared to be the government website. I paid $299 and $249 for the two certificates that should have been free. I know I was on a site that had .gov on the web address. I didn’t know I was charged this amount until I went to my credit card statement for a tax receipt for something else. I was told I could pay a small fee to have the process expedited and instead they charged me $548.Business response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 21333771, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me as long as the refunds, which are currently pending, go through and no new charges are assigned to my card I will accept the solution.

I previously contacted Govt Assist, LLC via email regarding an incorrect credit card being used during stage 2 of the process. However, this issue has become secondary as the company proceeded to apply for an EIN on my behalf without my consent, and did so inaccurately. Additionally, I was charged $249 for this service. I am now formally requesting a refund for this transaction. Reference: #**********Business response
