I enrolled my child at this daycare March 2022. The price for tuition was 352.00 per week. My child was receiving a scholarship from the state in the amount of 274.00 per week. But the amount of the scholarship changed May 2022 to 378.00 per week. Around the month of June 2022, the daycare said that they hadn't received anything from the state , they told me that I would have to have payroll deduction temporarily until they received my child's tuition. Well they started receiving checks in July that cover all back pay from January 31st. They started receiving check from the state but they were also still receiving my payroll deduction of 190.00 every 2 weeks. I spoke with the ceo Judy ******* of the daycare who told me that their records were in all over the place and she would get back to me with an update about Zions tuition. We spoke again a week later and she stated that Zion tuition was paid until October, and they didn't need to continue my payroll deduction and once they are receiving the rest of Zion tuition, I would be refunded. Well, she never stopped the payroll deduction. She is still receiving 378 per on tuition for my child , which is 200 over the amount of tuition per month, plus my 380 extra she is receiving from my payroll a month. She is committing fraud and has lied continuously. My child's last day at this center is January 20th. She continues to lie to me and other parents who are in the same position. She is not allowed to receive double pay when she is collect scholarship money from the state. I have reported her to licensing , Human Resources at my job and I have contacted the twan ###-###-#### (state worker) who's says they have been paid up to date. I want my payroll deduction to stop immediately and I want a refund for the money she has taken. She has very dirty business practices and should no longer be in business

Ms Brock enrolled her child in the SSA HQs Child Development Center in March 2022.  After she enrolled her child, we had an increase in tuition to $672 bi-weekly.

ChildCare Subsidy Maryland did begin paying her tuition in July 2022.  They almost got caught up - she still owed $528.76 when we received the check.

Ms Brock started a payroll deduction of $190 bi-weekly.   ChildCare Subsidy Maryland made regular payments until October 2022.  From October 2022 until January 2023, we did not receive any payments from CCSubsidy MD.  Ms Brock was told that when we received payment from the State and her payments/tuitions owed were caught up, we would be glad to refund what she personally had paid via payroll deduct.

Parents sign a Parent Commitment Tuition due form - the parent owes the tuition even if they have a scholarship from the State subsidy program.  If the state doesn't pay, the parent has to per the Commitment form that they have signed.  We were not willing to refund the monies that she had paid, until we received all of the back monies from the State.

A check for $2850 - the total amount that she paid via payroll deduct - was issued to her February  17th, 2023.

I am the Pres/COO - working in the Corporate office in St. Louis, MO.  I had not received any notification of this complaint until today when the President of the Board forwarded it to me.  I imagine that the complaint was either sent to the Board and/or to the management staff at the Center.  Regardless of where it was sent, the Corporate office did not receive it until the SSA Board forwarded it to me.
