I have been a customer of Mccomas Fuel Company for several years. Since 2020 the year of my early retirement because of the pandemic, I've qualified for financial assistance through the *************************. The program issues grants for heating and utilities costs. I've received a **** grant from the program in 2020 and 2021 to help with the cost of fuel oil to heat my home. In 2022 I applied and was approved for a **** grant, but there was a problem in the grant getting to Mccomas Fuel Company. I called the company every week since the beginning of November to see if they received grant from the *************************. I was told by the office manager and son every week that they have not received my grant. On 11/28/22 I spoke with Mr ***** an employee from the *************************, he stated that an Guarantee of Payment was emailed to Mccomas on 11/9/22 and again on 11/28/22. Guarantee of Payment is not the actual check but I promise that the check will be sent. I called Mccomas Fuel Company back and spoke with the son Andrew and told him that the GOP was emailed to them twice per Mr *****. Andrew told me hold on while he checked another computer. I held on but another person picked up the line. I stated I was waiting for Andrew. The person that picked up the line was the owner Andrew's father. He was condescending, disrespectful, and rude. He started screaming and yelling at me. He stated he had bills to pay and would not accept Guarantee of Payment from the *************************. I called Mr ***** back and told him what Mr Mccomas had yelled at me, which was "he won't accept a GOP from them he wants a check". After my conversation with Mr Mccomas on 11/28/22 I decided to look for another vendor to receive my heating oil. I found another oil company that was accepting new customers and will also accept the Guarantee of Payment from the *************************.
