Complaint against Unlimited Earth Creations: * On June 11, 2022, I signed a contract with Mr. Talib D**** of Unlimited Earth Creations. * The agreed upon cost was $4800, to be paid in thirds: 1/3 down, 1/3 after demo, and balance at completion. * The work to be done was labor and materials to repair three windowsills and trim, provide and install two wood handrails for interior stairways, parge and paint exterior basement stairway wall, provide and install black anodized aluminum railing above and along exterior basement stairway. * Work was to start July 14, 2022, and to be completed July 20, 2022. * The windowsills and trim have been repaired, but I have been promised an adjustment at one window because the screen no longer fits. The interior handrails have been installed but I have been promised one additional support bracket for the basement handrail. * No work has been done at the exterior basement stairway. * I paid the $1600 deposit upon signing the contract on June 11, 2022. I paid another $1600 on August 8, 2022, upon completion of the windowsill repairs and installation of the interior handrails. * There have been multiple delays and postponements of the work. Communication with Mr. D**** has been difficult, with long periods when I could get no response to phone, text, and email messages. Most recently, he promised to call me back on October 3 about completing the work. I have not heard from him, despite multiple attempts on my part to reach him. * I want Mr. D**** to complete the contracted work to my satisfaction (i.e., repair and paint exterior stairway wall, provide and install exterior stairway railing and handrail, adjust window trim so that screen fits, install one additional handrail support bracket) by the end of October 2022. * If Mr. D**** will not or cannot finish the contracted work by the end of October, I want $1600 back. The other $1600 already paid is fair compensation for the work completed.Business response

At the end of 2020/beginning of 2021, I utilized BBB to hire UEC/Talib D**** for some home improvement. By contract, we were scheduled to be done by March 2021. At the time of this complaint, D**** still hasn't finished the work. He routinely lies to me about his availability, says he's coming and never shows, or ignores me altogether. I've tried or over a year to remain amicable and professional. So, I asked him to give me a credit for the work not done. We agreed on an amount, but he's still giving me the run around. If I can get him on the phone, he keeps saying next Friday. Well today is next Friday and still no refund.Business response
