There is information I'd like to see in the Mercy MyChart system. Unfortunately, you have to give Mercy Hospital part of your social security number to request a password reset (or info on your username) to see your information. I don't like giving my social security number, in part or in whole, to healthcare providers. They don't need it. And I'm pretty sure they aren't allowed to require it for services. But Mercy requires it for their online patient chart system.

Waited 5 months to have my second colonoscopy wtih Dr. Sergey ********* for 3/6/203. On 2/22/2023 I received a call from Jordan his practice administrator statng she ran my BCBS benefits and they would only cover half and my portion would be $10,000. I explained that didn't sound correct, this is a second colonoscopy because my prior GI dr did not feel comfortable removing the 4th polyp due to it's location and be able to get all the margins and my family history of my father dying from colon cancer. I told Jordan I wanted to explore my options by calling my insurance company to confirm that and would get back to Jordan. Spoke to Jacqueline with BCBS and she said that doesn't sound correct and proceeded to call Jordan. She called Jordan mulitple times leaving very detail messages and so did I. Requsting the CPT code and diagnosis code. Once I finally got a hold of Jordan on 2/23 she infomred me she cancelled my appt for 3/6 which I never instructed her to do. She did provide me with the procedure code and diagnosis code. I called BCBS back and they said both codes are new and not in there system. But they would try to get it authorized due to my family history and medical neccessity. Several messages were left for Jordan for Dr. Kantsevoy's office with no return call. Finally reach Jordan on 3/21 and she said she never received any messages from me or BCBS. I have not waited 5 months to have this procedure done and the chances of this polyp becoming cancer is concerning to me. I am getting no assistance from the drs office in trying to have this procedure authorized. I have not spent $379 for pre-op work that won't be valid for when I do get this finally scheduled. At this point I will have to start this process over with another GI doctor. Dr's and their staff are there to assist patients and in my case this just did not happen. Jordan was matter of fact and offered no assistance. Other than to have BCBS call her but she seems to not return their calls.

Mercy has sent out a mass mailing and they will not remove my home address from this unwanted solicitation! They do not provide any type of email or phone number so people can have their name omitted from this junk mail advertising. I am asking Mercy to provide me with an email or direct phone number to someone who knows how to remove my address (as well as my family members who received this and don't want to receive anymore). Please NEVER send us things in the mail and only contact me VIA EMAIL please! also, your database is severely outdated because you are sending mail to people's name who have not lived here in 15 years! stop wasting your money and stop bothering people! we have never done business with this hospital and we don't ever plan to, so there's no need to contact us with advertising! Please email me so I can give you the other addresses to be removed from your system permanently!
