Booking.com allowed someone to book and charge my bank card for a property that I did not approve or authorize. The reservation was placed under someone else name and the confirmation email was sent to a completely different email not my email. Booking.com reached out to the Sheraton inner who stated they do not check the name of the person on the card or against the person making the reservation. My card was charged and now they are refusing to pay me back for their negligence. The booking site stated that the hotel would have to issue the refund. The hotel stated that no one showed for the reservation but it was a no cancellation/no refund reservation so they would not issue a refund even if I did not authorize the charge. I notified both the hotel and booking days before the check-in date of the reservation. I was told I could not cancel a reservation that was not in my name even if my credit card was the one used to pay for the hotel without my knowledge.Initial Complaint

THIS WAS ONE OF THE WORST EXPERIENCES MY SISTER, KORI ***** AND I HAD AT ANY SHERATON HOTEL IN ANY STATE. UPON OUR ARRIVAL WE GOT NO HELP FROM THE FRONT DESK NOR CONCIERGE TO GET A LUGGAGE RACK TO UNLOAD OUR VEHICLE. FRONT DESK POINTED TO THE AREA WHERE THE CARTS WERE LOCATED AND WE HAD TO DO EVERYTHING OURSELVES. THEN WHEN WE GOT TO THE ROOM,, WE REALIZED THAT THE TUB STOPPER THAT SHOULD KEEP WATER FLOWING AS YOU ARE TAKING A SHOWER DIDN'T WORK AT ALL. WE HAD TO CALL DAILY TO GET EXTRA TOWELS, TOILET PAPER AND A LIGHT BULB REPLACED IN THE BATHROOM. UPON OUR DEPARTURE ON SUNDAY, THE CLOSET CAME OFF THE TRACK AND COULDN'T BE FIXED. IF WE COULD GET A ONE NIGHT REFUND CREDITED TO KORI ***** AS THIS WAS CHARGED AND RESERVED IN HER NAME.Initial Complaint

The employee who checked me in said breakfast for 2 comes with the room on the morning. Ok. I get up go to the dining area the employee there asks for my room number..cool. After I'm done eating cold hard food she gives me a receipt for $50. I go downstairs and say hey I was told I get breakfast for 2 with the room. The new employee says we don't have complimentary breakfast. I said we were told it comes with the room. She replied we don't have complimentary breakfast. Meanwhile as a person next to me is being told the same thing they told me..."breakfast for 2 comes with the room". Literally running the same gag on a new person as she tells me the opposite.
