      The movers showed up over an hour late to the job (we agreed on 10 am and they arrived around 11:15) and were reckless with our belongings. They broke multiple pieces of furniture, damaged all of the other ones, and made it so that we had to discard a bunch of furniture that would have fit in our Uhaul U-boxes (we doubled checked the dimensions of the box and arranged our items so they would fit). They were careless and didn't use any moving blankets Uhaul provided them, then had the audacity to demand a tip from us, which they asked for before the job even started. They kept pressing and demanded cash. When we got to our destination & received our U-boxes, we found that everything was haphazardly thrown inside and all of our furniture was damaged. Upon speaking with the owner of the company, I have been met with rudeness and overall apathy toward my complaints. He has made promises to replace only two pieces of furniture out of the countless ones we either lost or that got damaged. But now he's ignoring me when I try to contact and follow up. It doesn't sit right that a business can just go around and damage or discard hundreds to thousands of dollars worth of furniture and belongings and just get away with it. I initially left them a positive review right after the job was done but realized I spoke too soon.

      Business Response /* (1000, 12, 2022/08/16) */ We arrived as soon as uhaul had the ubox ready for delivery. We have no control over how long that takes them which is why we arrived when we did. Once we completed the job the first issue was that we couldn't fit everything into the ubox which we took out time to pack. After that you started saying that we broke things which my responses that nothing was broke when we left. And then you started accusing us of poor service because you were not able to bring everything you assumed you would be. Initially I felt bad and asked you to provide pictures because you were claiming damages your response to me was that you don't have any pictures even though you were saying that everything that you took out of the box was damaged you have still not been able to provide even one picture. You also left the review after we completed the job and mentioned nothing of damage things or stuff being left behind. The issue with you arriving late was that you did not even bother to try and communicate with me. I called and you acted annoyed over the phone even though you told me you would call me back and never did. It was completely unprofessional, Also, as I have explained to you before, because your movers showed up late and we were running several hours behind that day, our first thought was not to take photos of everything. We needed to get out as soon as possible. We weren't even able to be in the loading dock to watch the movers load everything and found out afterward how haphazardly they loaded our items into the boxes and how much they just tossed aside to throw away. Had they followed our simple instructions and also used moving blankets, we could have avoided this entire ordeal because our items should have fit into those 2 Uboxes. We've used them before, we double checked the measurements, and arranged our items so they would fit. Your movers are simply either inexperienced or careless. I initially left a positive review because I was relieved that the job was done, and the movers seemed like nice people. But after having the chance to re-evaluate the entire experience and go through the items that were broken and/or left behind, I realized I spoke too soon. Also, I had texted you multiple pictures of the items we found BROKEN and DAMAGED after they arrived at our destination and we were able to open the U-boxes to see just how TERRIBLY your movers packed our items. You didn't really issue any response to that. You also ignored the photo of the weight tree that was over $100 that your movers decided to discard. You can claim to "feel bad" all you want but it doesn't change the fact that you only offered to replace 2 items and then decided to change your mind after finding this complaint which did not contain any new infoI have already brought these concerns up with you, which you chose to ignore. All I wanted was a refund on the job, which is way less than the cost of all of the damaged furniture.
