Computer was hacked by a company listing a phone number to call. Computer was completely inoperable. It was taken over by an app called Supremo which was impossible to remove. We paid for a Norton product which was total fraud as I checked after wards with Norton, I have since purchased the protection from Norton directly

I have seen similar comments and complaints related to scam activities by a representative claiming to be with Omega Software to the Better Business Bureau. I have been constantly contacted by (different) callers (one named Alex, ****) over the last few months (most recent being 2/21/23) claiming that I purchased Omega Software that is expired and if I do not 'cancel' by allowing them to access my computer remotely, then they would automatically apply a charge (one quoted $3000 the other $8000) to my checking account. They should not have any checking account information for me. They insist that I call them back and ask specifically for their name(s). I paid and have a (supposed) receipt from Omega Software solutions for 5-year "Key Protector" software for which I paid $999.99 on a credit card account on December 3, 2021. I have subsequently closed this credit card account. Clearly the 5-years is not over nor is this supposed software solution 'expired'. I was provided a customer ID upon 'purchase' (GEEKS-86148). During each call I requested a 'talk code' from the caller to which they all respond that because my software expired, they talk code is expired also (What!?). I am being contacted by individuals from Rhode Island, Texas and Maryland (to name a few) and elsewhere from private cell numbers. I am filing a BBB complaint about this activity in order to protect myself from this potential scam action. Omega Solutions needs to address this complaint as apparently this is happening quite frequently according to the BBB site. They call me at least 2 times a week. This is absolutely ridiculous and I BETTER not get a charge from Omega Solutions on any account. my receipt for the 12/3/21 charge to my credit card is attached.

This email is regarding the complaint we receive from the Better Business Bureau.

This is to inform you that we have been trying to reach you on the given phone number -*********99... However unable to connect on the call even to leave a voicemail.
As you have stated that you have been receiving multiple threatening calls from Scammers pretending to be from Omega and from unknown numbers who are threatening to charge your account, we assure you that these are all hoax calls.
We also assure you that your details are safe with us and there is no data breach with the Customers' information. Your Talking Password is still working and is not expired. Scammers must have talked you out, which has nothing to do with us.
To Provide you all the information we are still trying to reach you, we also request you to call us on the given toll-free number and as for Christopher.

I am Sandera ******* and I'm being harassed by Omega Softwear Solutions, or **************************************** by phone calls that started yesterday and continues today. They also claim to be Microsoft?? I really don't know who they are, but I'm tired of being harrased for two straight days. Here are the numbers that showed up on my phone-******************************************************. They are telling me that I owe them $3000.00 yesterday and $6800.00 today for computer services in which I don't. The message said to ask for Jason one time, then Alex today, and Jacksonport yesterday. I believe that have been scamming me all along for about 5-6 years. They would call me on the phone and tell me that their was something wrong with my computer, pretend to fix it and I paid them every time. Now, out of the clear blue sky they are calling me. The last time I paid them was November or December 2020 ($399.00) for two or three years service. Please help me solve this problem, or advise me as to what I need to do. Yesterday, I told someone that I would be reporting them, and they hung up on me. Thanks for your time.

On November 29 I received a call from Omega Software stating that there were issues with the monthly optimization of my PC. I told the agent that I had purchased a new laptop and had decided not to continue their services. The agent told me that I still had time to continue their services until the end of my contract expired. I asked for how long I still have a little bit more than 2 years for the service to end. To this the agent stated that the services will be transferred to my new PC, I agreed. However, the rep stated that because my new PC is a 64 bit and not a 32 bit encription and I would have to pay the difference w/taxes (305.60) from my actual original payment, I agreed. The rep (Adam) indicated that the original amount of 499.99 will be cancelled and the new amount of 805.60 including taxes will be charged and I would be reimbursed the original amount of $499.90. He proceeded with the wire transfer from my bank. Following is a description the agent typed on my Notepad.
