      A very racist store. We were racially profiled and discriminated against. The agent at the register asked for my ID. I presented it to her then supervisor walked over and asked if she had asked for my ID the agent said yes I verified. My ************ over the age of *********************** also African American then was asked if she had ID on her. I asked why would she need ID if she is not purchasing the liquor and I have already verified my age. I then asked if ****** was a manager and she said she was. I asked if she had someone above her which she said yes and walked over to a gentleman behind another desk. I'm not sure what she said to him but she returned to us saying that he had approved the purchase stating that he had seen us there before. I have never gone to that store before it was the first time in my life. They are racist and ****** needs to be fired. If you are African American I think you should save your money and spend it where we are welcomed. DO NOT VISIT ********* STORE ******. RACISCISM AT ITS FINEST. I'm filing a lawsuit. This will change soon.

      Discrimination at its finest! Me, my husband, and our two boys went shopping here on March 17, 2023 around 6 pm. Keep in mind, we are a biracial family. I’m black, my husband is Hispanic, and our boys are mixed. We went to check out with Stephanie and she continued to stare at us. When it was time to start scanning, the FIRST question she asked was “What is your relationship to him?”. The “him” she was referring to is my husband. I said “Excuse me!”. Stephanie asked twice more and stated that it is within their policy to ask and that she could not start scanning the alcohol until I answered her question. She refused to check us out because she didn’t know our relationship status though he was holding our two year old and literally standing close to me. When I answered, is when she started scanning. This is beyond disgusting. Because we are a biracial family, she thought it was appropriate to ask such an obvious question and then blaming it on their policy.

      Total Wine & More fails to have a clean restroom and provide essentials needed. The store located in Gainsville, Va needs to be visited by Upper Mgt unannounced. The restroom is pathetic.

      I should have known better than to go back to Total Wine & More Store # 1114 in Elk Grove, CA again. I had placed an online order for 2 cases of Modelo pickup and they charge a CRV of 10 cent per can which is the legal going rate. When I purchased 2 additional 18-pack of beer the charge at the checkout stand became 50 cent per can for a whopping $9.00 instead of $1.80. The only reason I went back again was due to their false advertising that they had Corona 24-packs in cans which they ended up cancelling. The first time we've gone to this store several years ago the cashier double charged us, and we had to jump through hoops between dealing with an extremely unhelpful and inept manager to working with our credit card issuer and eventually got the 2nd charge backed out. Reading other people's experiences on the internet as well as reviews from BBB it appears that Total Wine & More may have deliberately rigged their cash registers to make mistakes in the hopes that customers don't notice or have already gone home and do not want to go back and fight with the employees who hold no power whatsoever to make any change. The typical answer from the employee seems to be to talk to to corporate or your bank. I strongly urge all buyers to bypass this ongoing hassle by going to BevMo! who has extremely capable employees and much better service. I now know that Total Wine & More is not expected to carry cases of Corona beer in cans, which was the only reason I went back.

      Terrible to their employees. Ignored concerns, cut workers making others work longer hours and don't provide tax information on time.
