I called Ourisman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Bowie to schedule an appointment to have my 2018 Jeep looked at for a rattling noise that keeps occurring. I was given the appointment for Tuesday, August 6th. When I showed up to the dealership, I was asked by a gentleman if I needed help, and I told him that I had an appointment at 11am. He proceeded to ask what was being done, and when I told him what was going on with my vehicle, he told me that they did not take appointments and that I would have to leave my vehicle for 5 7 days to get it diagnosed. I told him that I scheduled an appointment to get it diagnosed and I was then told that the whole company has moved away from appointments, and you just come in. I have been to this location a couple of times and have always had an appointment when getting my vehicle serviced. There was no way that I could leave my vehicle for a week or so, because I had no other means of transportation. This new process is very chaotic and foolish and leaves a person that is not from the area, such as me, out of luck with nowhere to turn to get her car serviced at the dealership. If a dentist office said that they no longer took appointments and to just show up, can you imagine how hectic it would be? Today, August 9th, I received an email from the dealership stating that they were sorry I missed my service appointment and to reschedule. ******* center is lacking. I took my Jeep there on three occasions and each time it took them over a month to fix and return it. This last time after jerking me around on my life time warranty I filed a formal complaint, with in a few days it was resolved and my vehicle was returned to me. I however moved to another state the next day and during my trip I found out that they had disconnected my Emergency flashers and not fixed one of the electrical issues covered under warranty. When I called them they told me to bring it back to them. I pointed out I now lived 8 hours away and I was then told it wasn't their problem that I should have checked before I took the vehicle. Seriously who checks their flashers when picking up their vehicle. Ourisman Jeep sold me a used 2019 Chevy Traverse with a bad transmission. When we brought it back a few days later their Tech said they saw no problem and couldn’t replicate the problem. So, I took it to a local Chevy dealer and had their service area review the vehicle. In addition to confirming that the transmission was bad, there was faulty brakes, radiator issues and an LED light out on the passenger rear lift gate. Their argument was the car passed inspection. However, the inspection was four months old, and that vehicle was continued to be used as a rental. We could see the residue from the grease pan on the passenger side windshield. To their credit they did pay for the service fee for the other dealership, and they put in a transmission and did the front brakes, kudos for stepping up in that way. When we picked up the vehicle I asked for something in writing as to what work was done. I was told that I wouldn’t get any paperwork because the tail light was still pending. Here’s where our issues really started, our concerned is about what work was done and we have no assurances regarding a warranty for a bad transmission. Our fear is that the one they put in goes bad and we’ll be stuck with an enormous bill. When I called in to ask the service area some basic questions they put us on hold for significant periods of time. Sometimes when we call in, they literally put us on hold without even saying hello and no one ever comes to the phone. I’ve also been told multiple times that the service manager would call us back and never does. We are not trying to be jerks, we are not trying to be pests, we want a few simple answers to a few simple questions to make sure that we don’t get screwed because we bought a lemon and they tried to pass it off with major issues. This has been the most frustrating car transaction that we’ve ever done and we’ve been married for 30 years. What I want to explain is this: When shopping for a used car and carrying negative equity, sometimes, a used car is not the best option. In this case, our team offered you the option of a new car because the new cars have rebates that could offset some of the negative equity. Ourisman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Bowie Aug 16, 2022 jdp2lfp I am very dissatisfied with the service i received, and the rip off attempt. When I first inquired about, servicing my 2016 Jeep Cherokee Limited, I was told that we had to leave the vehicle for 3 to 4 weeks. Two months later, I was told I would have to leave it for a week. This is where it gets good. I take my Jeep to the dealership, they tell me they can get to it in 2 to 3 days. I thought great, we're moving in the right direction. I was informed that my parking brake sensor had gone bad. They inspected the brakes, and informed me that I needed new pads and rotors. A job that normally cost approximately $1,000. They wanted twice the price over $2,000. So, I got the sensor fixed, and took the car to a different shop for brake service. There, I was informed, I didn't need new brakes. The brake pads were better than 50 percent good, and the rotors were better than 60 percent good. So why is it that they, the dealership, tried to charge me twice the price for a service I didn't need. No trust, bad business. I wish I wouldn't paid for the 3 oil package. Miss Penn visited our dealership this morning and worked with our lane manager Aiden. The vehicle was given to our shop foreman as a high priority. We called Miss Penn to keep her updated with the work progress. The clients’ concerns are now resolved. Vincenzo helped us put another Dodge in our garage! We keep coming back here because we appreciate the kind and knowledgable service. They are always respectful of our time, and Vincenzo had the paperwork prepared in advance. Also, Donna helped us get a good interest rate. Broadus and Simo took care of me. I ordered a 2022 Jeep Wrangler and all the specs I wanted I got. When it was time to finance the car, both individuals were very hands-on.
