On March 7, 2022 I went into pep up store for food when I got to the register I had ask for a pack of Newport's (Cigarettes) I was asked for identification. I replied that I only had my passport *** it doesn't allow you to scan it however my birthday is March 12, 1982. I was told that they had to scan my private information into their system and I did not consent. I asked for there names they refused to give me there names so I pulled my phone out and started to record when the police was called on me. No crimes were being committed and they gave me false and misleading information which is against the laws that govern the Business and something needs to be done expeditiously. It doesn't make any sense to have had to go through all of that just because my passport ******** scan. It wasn't designed to do that for a reason. I was told I needed a drivers licenses to get cigarettes and that is untrue. My passport *** a picture of myself on it along with the day and year that I was born. Fix this as it should have never happen and hopefully it will never happen again. When I left the store I spoke with a white lady out front who made me aware that they have taken her passport ****** of times so I question what was wrong with mines? And I do not consent for you to gather any of my private information due to the fact I don't owe no debts. Congress is liable for ALL debts public and private. Only investigate this particular situation and fix it nothing else.
