On January 30th, I took my car to the Midas at 6555 Baltimore National Pike, Baltimore, MD 21228 for some brake issues. My brake pedal was hard and required force to stop. It was stated that I need to remove and replace my Vacuum Brake Booster Pump. I left my car to have it fixed and when I came back I was told that when they removed the brake booster pump they dropped some pieces into the engine. I was pissed that this negligence occurred and I was told that it happened because the vacuum pump was cracked and when they attempted to pull it off and they dropped pieces into the engine. I was led to believe that I was responsible for the negligence of the mechanics. I had a third party advise me on this and they said there was no possible way that pieces of the vacuum pump should have fell into my engine unless it was handled carelessly. I was then charged for $579.45 in labor for them to take my engine apart and remove the pieces. I was charged a total of 1,076.47 and financed 750 of it I paid this to get my car back. A couple days after receiving my car back I started having issues with sputtering with my engine whenever I was at a stop. I was unable to take it in due to weather and then a manager or someone telling me on the phone to "not bring it in until friday" I rested the car and only started to let it run occasionally in the driveway. I brought the car in on 2/17 to the same locationand was told that I had a throttle body issue and sparkplug issues. I had to pay another 799 dollars for this. When I got my car back on 2/18 I was assured everything was good. The following Monday 2/21, my car completely cut off at a stop light. The car was towed into the Midas. I was told my battery was fine but there were some wires loose. They tightened those wires and sent me on my way saying everything was fine. During that time, I saw smoke coming out my muffler and was told it was just build up and I was fine. I have since had issues with my car sputtering not only whenBusiness response
