            On July 26, 2022, the City of Chicago filed a civil complaint in the Circuit Court of Cook County against Monarch Legal, its head Mr. Timothy Burnette, and Strategic Financial Solutions ("Defendants") for allegedly running a fraudulent debt resolution scheme. The City's complaint alleges the Defendants violate and continue to violate consumer protection laws and is asking the court to stop the Defendants from engaging in debt resolution activity in the City and assess fines for violations of the Chicago Municipal Code.

            As recent as September 14, 2022, Mr. Timothy Burnette also serves as co-owner of Option 1 Legal.

            I hired Otion1leagl to resolve my credit card debt in July 2019. This debt was to be resolved in 48 months with a monthly payment of $481.64. As of today (4/10/2024) they continue to take $481.64 out of my bank account 56 months after they were hired with very little action taken on resolving my debt. I have no access to my client portal on their website and when I call their customer service center during business hours the phone message says they are not open and hangs up even though I am calling during their business hours. I want to terminate all business with this company and the money they have collected and not applied to my account for debt settlements to be returned in full.

            FOR WEEKS NON STOP, ON PHONE, ONLINE TRYING TO GET AHOLD OF YOU. TODAY I LET MY PHONE WAIT FOR OVER 4 HOURS AND NOOOOTHING! I HAVE A NICE SIZE GROUP OF PEOPLE AND A LAWYER THAT WILL BE TAKING YOU GUYS TO A COURT. WIN OR LOSE, ITS A PROCESS YOULL HAVE TO GO THROUGH, YOU KNOW SINCE YOU CANT ANSWER ANYBODY, FIGURED ID GIVE YOU SOMETHING FUN TO DO. YOU GUYS ******* SUCK AND AT THIS POINT ITS CALLED THIEF
