Business does not honor 10 year parts warranty! In March of 2016, I spent $6,375.00 for ***************** 2.5 ton Air conditioner unit. The contract I was provided states that the company offers 10 years warranty on parts. On June 25th, 2022 my unit stopped working. I had a licensed contractor come out and inspect and he found that ECM motor failed. This is only 6 years into the contract. I called Greenfox Cooling four times asking them to either provide the part or reimburse me for the cost. Part costs almost $900. They refused and only offered to come out if I paid for it. I spent thousands of dollars thinking I have peace of mind on equipment for at least 10 years, choosing to buy from this company was the worst mistake. I have medical history of asthma and have been to emergency room in the past due to attacks. The temperature in my house is high, putting my health at risk . I am angry that I had to continue calling this company and they do not take care of their customer. I do not recommend anyone to buy from Greenfox.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/07/13) */ Customer called on 6/29/2022, stating she had a contractor state that her blower motor was bad and wanted Greenfox to provide a new motor to her. I offered to have our technician to confirm diagnosis and/or fix the issue, but the customer refused and stated she has her own contractor and did not have to use Greenfox and she has a ten-year parts warranty per her installation contract. I informed her that per the contract it is a manufactures warranty, and it is ultimately the owners' responsibility to register her unit with the manufacture. Since the unit was not registered, the unit only has a five-year manufacture warranty and is currently out of manufactures warranty period. Unfortunately, we can not just give out of warranty parts on a customer's word without even affording us the opportunity to verify the veracity of the situation.
