I went to the chiropractor to find some new ways to treat my herniated disc through soft tissue manipulation and other therapies l. When I got to see the doctor, we signed a contract for her to help me with my condition and using decompression and other services such as dry needling. My insurance didn’t cover much of the services so I was paying out of pocket for these services. I told the front staff not to use my insurance and that the doctor wouldn’t be doing anymore manual therapy. I’d seen the doctor only maybe 3 to 4 times in the 3 months I was under her care. After one session of dry needling, I was crying in front of the doctor saying that I was in pain. She left me alone and did not come back to check on me. She left the office once I was off the dry needling. I also updated my chart, Every time I came in and said certain things were not improving and new conditions were felt and nothing was done about that. Neither did she follow up with me about those things. I also got fitted for orthotics again, the doctor did not check up or review or follow up with me. I was just giving the Items.

      Business response

      08/06/2024

I would respectfully like to respond to Ms. ************ complaint about the services and financial policies in my office.  Obviously, HIPAA Privacy Rules prevent my ability from providing any details regarding the specific care provided, but as a policy our clinic only charges for services that have the potential to benefit the patient based on what their goals are for care, services (and fees) that are agreed upon by the patient prior to services being rendered, and services that are specifically provided to the patient.  Our process in the office is to provide a dedicated financial report to the patient prior to initiating the care plan so they can make a determination as to what care they would like to receive, as well as financially what care they can be responsible for.  I have made multiple attempts to reach the patient to work out a solution and she refused to discuss.

I'm happy to bring this to a resolution but it would require some communication with Ms. ********** to make that happen.

Some consumers may elect to not publish the details of their complaints, some complaints may not meet BBB's standards for publication, or BBB may display a portion of complaints when a high volume is received for a particular business.
