I currently live at the Verona at Silver Hill. My heat hasn’t been working properly for about 1 1/2 weeks, Then it cut off and didnt work at all. Over all it was about 3 weeks since I had heat in my unit. I’ve contacted the rental office and the management group and they haven’t done anything to fix the problem within that time period. Now I’m getting harrassed by the woman who manage the rental office. They are retaliating because I’ve been pressing them to replace my heating unit. She’s has accused me of smoking weed and flooding the apartment below mine. (In which my apartment was flooded multiple times damaged the wall, outlet and floorboard) from the people above me and when I told her i wasn’t home, she’s tried to find any excuse to come into my unit to try to find something to use against me so she could say that im violating my lease agreement. Im getting harassed and I don’t feel safe anymore in my own home. I’ve put in my 30 days and now they putting extra charges on my account.Business response

My apartment flooded with other tenants feces on the night of the 21st of December 2021. The issue was poorly cared for, I missed work, I couldn't use my own apartment, my child could not be home and I pay over $1,500 a month to live and be able to depend on accurate help and cleanliness with these issues happen. My bathroom was left disgusting for two days, I literally used about 10 of my own towels to try to stop the flood. I haven't been compensated for those and I deserve for my rent to be lowered as well. This should have been handled in a more proficient and quick manner especially since it is a hazardous situation with having the urine and feces of other people overflowing from my tub and toilet into my home. I've sent emails and emails and no response once this company finally sent someone out to clean the early afternoon of my birthday. No one has come to recheck my bathroom, no one has come to re seal the base of my toilet from it having to be pulled up out of the floor to fix the issue. I feel like I have been treated like this just does not matter but at the end they want money for full rent. This incident alone has caused me to have a smaller check due to missed work. If there is anyway you could help please do, PLEASE. Thank you
